HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 78-14 RESOLUTION NO. 78-14 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN CERTIFYING ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT 77-7 FOR THE BRYAN-BROWNING INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT. The City Council of the City of Tustin does hereby resolve as follows- 1. The City Council finds and determines as follows' a That a focused E.I.R. was prepared by the City of Tustin for analysis of the environmental impacts associated with the proposed Bryan-Browning Intersection Improvement Project. , b That a Notice of Completion was filed on December 8, 1977, and E.I.R. 77-7 was distributed to all agencies having jurisdiction by law. . C That the Planning Agency has reviewed the draft E.I.R. and determined that the project is in conformance with the Tustin Area General Plan, pursuant to Section 65402 of the California Planning and Zoning Law. d That a public hearing was duly advertised and conducted on January 16, 1978.. e That the Southern California Edison Company has noted the. impact of the proposed project upon their facilities and the transformer sub-station located at the northeasterly project limits. f That the Irvine Company has reviewed the draft E.I.R. and'has requested further consideration of Alternative "C" which would redirect Flood Control Channel (FO7) southerly along Browning Avenue and thence easterly along the northerly right-of-way of the Santa Ana Freeway. That adverse impacts of the proposed project have been mitigated with the exception of increased traffic capacity upon ultimate project completion. e The City Council further finds and determines that Final .E.I.R. 77-7 consists of the draft, correspondence, and public testimony and acknowledges the concerns of interested persons and landowners whereby mitigating measures shall be taken to replace perimeter landscaping and provide access to the Browning Avenue Transformer Station and consideration of the Alternative "C" alignment of the FO7 Flood Control Channel, subject to economic feasibility, prior to construction of the project.
