CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT 07-012 - A request for authorization to establish a master sign plan for the I-5 self storage industrial building at 2631 Michelle Drive. APPLICANT: PROPERTY OWNER: LOCATION: RECOMMENDATION: STEVE IADIPAOLO RANDY SCOTT WONG I-5 SELF SORAGE, LLC 2631 MICHELLE DRIVE That the Zoning Administrator adopt Zoning Administrator Action No. 07-007 approving conditional Use Permit 07-012. Presentation: Reina Kapadia, Assistant Planner The Public Hearing opened at 10:35 a.m. The Zoning Administrator indicated she had reviewed the staff report. No presentation was necessary. The Zoning Administrator asked the applicant if he had read and understood the report and the conditions of approval. Don Saltarelli answered in the affirmative. The Zoning Administrator approved Zoning Administrator Action No. 07-007 approving conditional Use Permit 07-012. The Zoning Administrator explained that this is an appealable item. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT 07-007 DESIGN REVIEW 07-007 - A request to remodel and expand an existing Rally's to establish a new Arby's Restaurant with one drive-thru lane and shared parking at Newport Camino Plaza. APPLICANT: ALFRED WONG A&K MANAGEMENT LLC PROPERTY OWNER: LOCATION: RECOMMENDATION KARL AND CONNY BERGSTROM BERGSTROM CHILDREN CORPORATION 13982 NEWPORT AVENUE That the Zoning Administrator adopt Zoning Administrator Action 07-005 approving Conditional Use Permit 07-007 and Design Review 07-007. Presentation: Minoo Ashabi, Associate Planner The Public Hearing opened at 10:37 a.m. The Zoning Administrator indicated she had reviewed the staff report. No presentation was necessary. The Zoning Administrator asked the applicant if he had read and understood the report and the conditions of approval The applicant, Alfred Wong, answered in the affirmative. The Zoning Administrator approved Zoning Administrator Action 07-005 approving Conditional Use Permit 07-007 and Design .Review 07-007. The Zoning Administrator explained that this is an appealable item. If no appeal is received by the close of business Monday, October 29, the approval is final. The Public Hearing closed at 10:38 a.m. 3. TIME EXTENSION -CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT 05-028 - A request fora 12- month extension for approval of Conditional use Permit 05-028 which authorized development of ten (10) mobile home pads as an expansion of an existing mobile home park (Villa Valencia Mobile Home Estates). APPLICANT PROPERTY OWNER: LILLIAN CHANG NEW VILLA VALENCIA MOBILE ESTATES C/O DUNEX, INC. Zoning Administrator Action Agenda October 22, 2007 Page 3 LOCATION: 14092 BROWNING AVENUE RECOMMENDATION That the Zoning Administrator adopt Zoning Administrator Action 07-006 approving a 12-month time extension for Conditional Use permit 05-028. Presentation: Minoo Ashabi, Associate Planner The Public Hearing opened at 10:39 a.m. The Zoning Administrator asked if the applicant had read the report, understood the conditions of approval, and intended to process with the project. Brian Alex stated there were questions regarding the requirement of the soils report. The Zoning Administrator explained that those questions would not be appropriate for this hearing since this request was for an extension of Conditional Use Permit 05-028 and asked if there were questions specific to the extension. The applicant replied in the negative. The Zoning Administrator approved Zoning Administrator Action 07-006 approving a 12-month time extension for Conditional Use permit 05-028. The Zoning Administrator explained that this is an appealable item. If no appeal is received by the close of business Monday, October 29, the approval is final. The Public Hearing closed and the meeting was adjourned at 10:42 a.m. REGULAR BUSINESS: None ADJOURNMENT: The date of the next meeting of the Zoning Administrator will be scheduled when items are set for hearing.
