HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 77-087 RESOLUTION NO. 77-87 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN RELATIVE TO THE PAR- CEL OF LAND SOUTHERLY OF 17TH STREET, BOUNDED BY THE NEWPORT FREEWAY AND YORBA. The City Council of the City of .Tustin does hereby resolve as follows' 1. The City Council finds and determines as follows' a. That Section 65356.1 of the Government Code of the State of California provides that when-it is deemed to be in the public interest, the legislative body may amend a part of the Gen- eral Plan. . · That in accordance with Section 65356 of the Government Code of the State of California, a · public hearing.was duly advertised and held by the Planning Agency on the application of Hamer & Carpenter to consider General Plan Amendment 77-2(C) to reclassify the 1.1-acre parcel bounded by Yorba Street and the Newport Freeway, southerly of 17th Street, from the "Pr" to the Commercial General Classification. · b. That the proposed amendment would have no adverse impact upon the environment and has been granted a Negative Declaration. c. That the change in classification would be in the public interest and not detrimental to the welfare of the public or the surrounding prop- ertY owners. d. The City Council did concur with the Planning Agency recommendation at a public hearing on August 15, 1977. 2. The City Council hereby approves.General Plan Amendment 77-2(C) to reclassify subject parcel as identified herein from the Professional Office to the Commercial General classification, subject to the submission of precise development plans to accompany a zone change application.
