HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 77-082 RESOLUTION NO. 77-82 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUST'IN FIXING AND DETERMINING THE AMOUNT OF REVENUE REQUIRED FROM PROPERTY TAXES TO CARRY ON TIlE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN AND FIXING THE RATE OF TAXES ON · THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN TIlE CITY OF TUSTIN TO CARRY ON THE .WORK OF THE CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1977-'78 . · The City Council of the City of Tustin does resolve as follows- Section !..: That the City of.Tustin has, pursuant to law, hereto- fore elected to have its duties of assessment and tax collection performed 'by the County of Orange, through the County Assessor, Tax Collector, Auditor, and other officials of the County of Orange. Section 2: That it is determined that the amount of $1,212,120.00 ~'~ ., is the amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property within the City of Tustin, as revenue to carry on the various departments of the City of Tustin for the year 1977-78. . ~ · ~ Section 3: That the rate of ~ax necessary to raise the afore- said sum of money to carry on the various work for the City of Tustin is the sum of $0.9200 upon each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) of the assessed valu- ation of all real and personal property within the corporate limits of the City of Tustin, and that there be, and hereby is fixed and levied a prop- erty tax for the fiscal year of 1977-78 of $0.9200 upon each One ~undred Dollars ($100.00) of assessed valuation of all real property within the corporate limits of the City of Tustin, for the purpose of carrying on the various work of the City of Tustin for the fiscal year 1977-78. Section 4: That it is determined that the amount of $111,100.00 is the amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable ... property within the City of Tustin, as revenue to meet the debt service expense of the 1971 Park Bonds for the year. 1977-78. Section 5: That the rate of tax necessary to raise the aforesaid sum of money to meet the debt service expense of the 1971 Park Bonds of the City of Tustin is the sum of $0.0835 upon each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) of the assessed valuation of all real and personal property within the cor- porate limits of the City of Tustin, and that there be, and hereby is fixed and levied a property tax for the fiscal year of 1977-78 of $0.0835 upon each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) of assessed valuation of all real prop- erty within the corporate limits of the City of Tustin, excepting therefrom the annexations known as "063C 1972-73 Annex" and"063D 1976 Annex" for the purpose of meeting the debt service expense of the 1971 Park Bonds of the City of Tustin for the fiscal year 1977-78. Section 6: That it is determined that the amount of $80,100.00 is the amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property within the City of Tustin, as revenue to meet the debt service expense of the Civic Center Bonds for the year 1977-78. Section 7: That the rate of tax necessary to raise the afore- Said sum of money to meet the debt service expense of the Civic Center Bonds of the City of Tustin is the sum of $0.0600 upon each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) of the assessed valuation of all real and personal property ....... wi thin the corporate limits of the City of Tustin, and that there be, and hereby is fixed and levied a property tax for the fiscal year of 1977-7~ of $0.0600 upon each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) of assessed valuation of all real. prDperty within the corporate limits of the Cit~ of Tustin, excepting therefrom the annexation known as. "063.D 1976 Annex", for the purpose of meeting the debt service expense of the Civic Center Bonds of the City of Tustin for the fiscal year 1977-78. Section 8: That the City Clerk of the City of Tustin shall certify to t~he County Auditor of the County of Orange, State of California, a statement of the rate of taxes fixed herein, to be extended to him on the 1977-78 Assessment Roll for the collection thereof in the same manner as County taxes. ~ Section 9: That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall cause the same to be published once within fifteen days after its adoption, in the Tustin News, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Tustin. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Tustin, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 15th day of August, 1977.
