HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 95-36 RESOLUTION NO. 95-36 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF GARDEN GROVE TO ACT ON THE BEHALF OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN BOTH AS APPLICANT AND GRANT ADMINISTRATOR FOR THE CALIFORNIA INTEGRATED WASTE MANAGEMENT BOARD USED OIL OPPORTUNITY.GRANT PROGRAM WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the California Oil Recycling Enhancement Act that 7 provides funds to cities and counties for establishing and maintaining local used oil collection programs that encourage 8 recycling or appropriate disposal of used oil; and 9 WHEREAS, the California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) has been'delegated the responsibility for the 10 administration of the program within the State, settling up necessary procedures governing application by cities and 11 counties under the program; and 12 WHEREAS, the applicant will enter into an agreement with 13 the State of California for development of the project; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Tustin I4 authorizes the City of Garden Grove to submit to the California Integrated Waste Management Board a regional 15 application for the Local Government Used Oil Opportunity Grant on its behalf. The City of Garden Grove is hereby 16 authorized and empowered to execute all necessary 17 applications, contracts, payment requests, agreements and amendments hereto for the purposes of securing grant funds and to implement and carry out the purposes specified in the grant 18 application. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the 20 City of Tustin: Appoint the Director of Public Works/City Engineer as 21 agent of the City of Tustin to conduct all negotiations, 22 execute and submit all documents including but not limited to: applications, agreements, amendments, payment requests and so ~ on, which may be necessary for the completion of the aforementioned project. 24 PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Tustin held on the 3rd day of April, 1995. 27 ATTEST: ' ity Clerk City of Tustin RESOLUTION CERTIFICATION STATE OF CALIFORNIA ) COUNTY OF ORANGE ) ss CITY OF TUSTIN ) RESOLUTION NO. 95-36 Mary E.
