HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 84-09110 l? 18 20 RESOLUTION NO. 84-91 ,. · A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS UNDER THE REGIONAL COMPETITIVE PROGRAM OF THE CALIFORNIA PARK AND RECREATION FACILITIES ACT OF 1984 FOR THE COLUMBUS TUSTIN ATHLETIC FIELD RENOVATION AND LIGHTING PROJECT. WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the California Park and Recrea.tional Facilities Act of 1984, which provides funds to the State of California and its political subdivisions for developing facilities for public recreational purposes; and WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated the responsibility for the administration of the program within the state, setting up necessary procedures governing application by local agencies under the program; and WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Department of Parks and Recreation require the applicant to certify by resolution the approval of applications before submission of said applications to the state; and WHEREAS, said applications must comply with; and contain assurances that the applicant WHEREAS, the applicant agency will enter into an agreement wi th the State of California. for development rehabilitation or restoration of the project' NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Tustin City Council hereby- 1. Approves the filing of an application for assistance for the above project; and 1984 state grant e Certifies that said agency understands the assurances and certification in the application; and ® Certifies that said agency has or will have sufficient funds to operate and maintain the project, and if the project is selected for state grant funding; and e Certifies that said organization will provide construction plans and specifications to the state within one year of the appropriation of funds under this program and will commence work immediately after state approval; and 5. Appoints the City Manager as agent of the City of Tustin to conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all documents including but not limited to applications, agreements, amend- ments, payment requests, and so on, which may be necessary for the completion of the aforementioned project.
