FINAL ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS- WATER SERVICES
MAINTENANCE FACILITY (PROJECT NO. 6143)
SUMMARY
This action consists of the acceptance of work and authorization of recordation of the Notice of
Completion for the Water Services Maintenance Facility (Project No. 6143).
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt Resolution No. 01-103 accepting said work and
authorizing the recordation of the Notice of Completion.
FISCAL IMPACT
The final cost of this contract is $91,91 2.
BACKGROUND
The purchase and installation of a modular office structure is listed as a Water Capital
Improvement Program project in the City of Tustin Capital Improvement Program. This project.
consisted of the relocation and replacement of the Water Services Maintenance Facility offices on
Main Street with a modular office structure at the Field Services Maintenance Facility at 1472
Service Road. The project also included the acquisition and installation of new office furnishings.
Completion of these improvements has enhanced working conditions for Water Services staff and
consolidated City maintenance operations at one location.
This project has been completed to the satisfaction of the Public Works Department and the
Building Official.

RESOLUTION NO. 01-103
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN,
CALIFORNIA ACCEPTING THE WORK OF IMPROVEMENT AND
AUTHORIZING RECORDATION OF NOTICE OF COMPLETION WATER
SERVICES MAINTENANCE FACILITY- PROJECT NO. 6143
WHEREAS, GE Capital having a contract with the City Council to
provide the hereinafter described public work and improvement; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has duly certified to the completion of
said public improvements hereinafter mentioned in a manner satisfactory to
the City Council of the City of Tustin; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said contractor has completed
said public improvement hereinafter more particularly described in accordance
with the provisions of the contract documents and the Notice of Completion,
and acceptance of said public work and improvement should be filed and
payment of the balance due said contract authorized in accordance with the
contract documents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Tustin that said public work and improvement is found to be complete, and
the same is hereby accepted. Said public work and improvement is more
particularly described as follows:
Water.Services Maintenance Facility, Project No. 6143
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Engineer of the City of Tustin
is hereby authorized to execute and file a Notice of Completion for the
acceptance of said public work and improvement described herein as required
by law.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Tustin held On the 5th day of November 2001.
