HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 77-08RESOLUTION NO. 77-8 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, ASCERTAINING AND DETERMINING THE PREVAILING RATES OF WAGE TO BE PAID ON PUB- LIC WORKS CONTRACTS IN THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Sections 1770 and 1773 of the Labor Code of the State of California, it is necessary that the City Council of the City of Tustin ascertain and determine the general prevailing rates of wage on public works and by the provisions of said Code it is mandatory u~)on the awarding body of any public improvement to ascertain and. determine the general prevailing rates of wage in 'the locality in which the work is to be performed, for each craft or type of workman or mechanic needed to execute the contract, and also the general prevailing rate for legal holidays and overtime work for each craft or type of workman or mechanic. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Tustin has ascertained and does hereby determine that the prevailing wage rate and benefits shall be as set forth in the "General Wage Determination Made by the Dire.ctor of Industrial Relations Pursuant to California Labor Code Part 7, Chapter 1, Article 2, Sections 1770, 1773 and 1773.1", . effective January 1, 1977, of which copies of the above referenced Determinations are on file in the Office of the City Clerk of the City of Tustin, California. Employer payments other than those referenced herein., as defined in Section 1773.1 of the Labor Code, are to be paid in accordance with the terms of the collecti.ve bargaining agree- ment applicable to the type or classification of the workmen or mechanics employed on the project. PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Tustin, held on the 17th day of January, 1977.
