A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUSTIN AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE
GENERAL PLAN RELATIVE TO PROPERTY LOCATED AT
THE EASTERLY SIDE OF HOLT AVENUE,. NORTHERLY
OF IRVINE BOULEVARD AND SOUTHERLY OF THE FLOOD
CONTROL CHANNEL, AND PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE
NORTH SIDE OF SEVENTEENTH STREET,'WESTERLY OF
LAURINDA WAY; AND PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE EAST
SIDE OF NEWPORT AVENUE, SOUTHERLY OF ANDREWS.
The City Council of the City of Tustin does hereby resolve
as follows:
1. Section 65356.1 of the State of California Government
Code provides that when it is deemed to be in the
public interest, the legislative body may amend a
part of the General Plan.
2. The City Council approves .the findings and recommendations
of the City of Tustin Planning Commission contained in
Resolution No. 1553, recommending to the City Council
approval of the General Plan Amendment 76-2(Cl, amending
the Land Use Element to reclassify at properties easterly
of Holt Avenue, northerly of Irvine Boulevard, and
southerly of the flood control channel, which are in
the unincorporated area of Tustin's Sphere of Influence
to Multi-family Residential use with the following
conditions:
a. That the density of the residential development be
not more than one dwelling unit per 3,000 sq. ft.
of land area.
b. That existing structures on the properties not be
converted to Multi-family use and that they be
removed prior to the issuance of a building permit
for the construction of any Multi-family dwelling
units.
3. The City Council approves the findings and recommendations
contained in the City of Tustin Planning Commission
Resolution No. 1546, recommending to the City Council
approval of General Plan Amendment 76=2D amending the
Land Use Element to reclassify an area of land having a
frontage of 300 feet on the north side of 17th Street
westerly of Laurinda Way and being a portion of Tract
9345, from Professional to Residential Single-family
use. I
4. The City Council approves the findings and recommendations,
contained in the City of Tustin Planning Commission I
Resolution No. 1547, recommending to the City Council
approval of General Plan Amendment 76-2E amending the
Land Use Element to reclassify the area of land at the
south easterly corner of Newport and Andrews from
Multi-family Residential to Commercial usage.

5. The City Council by its Resolution No. 76-116 has
certified the EIR for General Plan Amendment No. 76-2.
6. The City Council hereby approves General Plan Amendment
76-2, Sections (C), (D), and (E), as recommended by
the City of Tustin Planning Commission.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Tustin city
..CouncL•iori of the City of Tustin, California, held on the 15th
day of November 1976.
