A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, DESIGNATING SURVEY
AREAS TO DETERMINE IF REDEVELOPMENT PROJECTS
WITHIN SAID AREAS ARE FEASIBLE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tustin on.
September 7, 1976, did request the Planning Commission and St'aff'
to advise the Council regarding a possible survey ~trea for
redevelopment; and
WHEREAS, California Health and Safety Code Section 33'310
provides for the designation of certain survey areas by resolution
of the City Council in order to conduct studies to determine the.
feasibility of redevelopment in these areas; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission by Resolution No. 1548
did recommend that. the City Council approve the survey area as
·
recommended in that Resolution; and
· .
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following
area as appropriate for purposes of study to determine appr. opriate
physical boundaries for a proposed redevelopment project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City. of Tustin does hereby find, determine and resolve as ..
follows:
1. That the City Council upholds and adopts the findings
of the Planning Commission as contained in Resolution No. 1548,
recommending a survey area.
2 That the area described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto
and incorporated herein by this reference, is an· appropriate
area to be studied for possible redevelopment.
3. That the area described in Exhibit "A" requires study
to determine if a redevelopment project within the area would
be feasible.
4. That the City Council adopts a .survey area which is
bounded on the north by Beneta Way, on the south by the Santa

Survey and Project Boundaries
Beginning at the center line of' "E" and First Street, heading
east on First Street to Prospect Avenue; heading north along
the eastern side of Prospec~ Avenue to the Orange County Flood
Control Channel, just north of Beneta Way heading east along
the southern section of Orange County Flood. Control. Channel
to the current City of Tustin boundary, located west of Living-
ston Way, heading south to a point approximately 95 feet north
of Irvine Boulevard, heading east following the City of Tustin
boundary to the westerly portion of Orange County Flood Control
located approximately 95 feet north of Irvine Boulevard and 75
ft. west of Plaza Drive, heading in a northerly direction along
the west portion' of the Flood Control Channel to. a point approx-
imately 127 ft. south of Plaza Way, heading.westerly along the
City of Tustin boundary to the center line of Prospect Avenue,
north along the center of ProsPect Avenue to a point approxi-
mately 127 feet north of Plaza Way, from this point heading east
%o ~he west portion of the Orange County Flood Control Channel,
then heading north along the Flood Control Channel approximately
160 fi, then heading east along the City of Tustin boundary ap-
proximately 390 ft. to the western section of Southern Pacific
Railroad tracks, then heading south along the City of Tustin
boundary approximately 315 feet, then easterly to the Newport
Avenue center line, then north along the Newport Avenue center
line to the southern portion of Wass Street, easterly along Wass
Street approximately 220 feet, then southerly along the City of
Tustin boundary approximately 172 feet, then easterly to Eliza-
beth Way, then southerly approximately 25 feet, then easterly to
the City of Tustin boundary, then southerly to the center line of
Irvine Boulevard, east on Irvine Boulevard approximately 150 feet
and then southerly approximately 1850 feet to the Orange County
Flood Control Channel, then westerly along the north section of
the Flood Control Channel approximately 660 feet, then southerly
approximately 1278 feet to the north section of Bryan Avenue,
then easterly approximately 326 feet to .the intersection 'of Main
Street, then westerly along Main Street to the center line of
Newport Avenue, ~then southerly along Newport Avenue to a point
approximately 174 feet south from the center line of Andrews St.,
then easterly approximately 125 feet, then southerly, approxi-
mately 180 feet to the center line of San Juan Street, then west-
erly approximately 50 feet, then southerly approximately 640 feet,
then westerly approximately 50 feet to the eastern section of
Newport Avenue, then southerly to southern section of Bonita St.,
· then east on Bonita Street to the .eastern section of Orange Street,
then southerly to the southern section of Laguna Road, then east-
erly approximately 550 feet, then westerly along the northern sec-
tion of Santa Ana Freeway to a point approximately 160 feet east
of "B" Street, then northerly to the south section of Sixth Street,
then westerly to the center line of "B" Street, then northerly to
the Point of Beginning at First Street.
