HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 76-10 RESOLUTION NO. 76-10 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING THE ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO ESTABLISH A COUNTY SERVICE AREA IN UNINCORPORATED AREAS OF THE COUNTY WHEREAS, under the provisions of' Section 25210.11 et seq. of-the Government Code, the Orange County Board of Supervisors has authority to establish county service areas at the'reqUest of a municipality within the county; and WHEREAS, presently the citizens of the City of Tustin are paying for services through taxation which theY do not. receive or which overlap existing services already provided by the City itself; and · WHEREAS., the time no longer exists wt~ereby citizens can afford to pay tax dollars for duplicating services necessary in connection with their living in the community, NOW, THEREFORE, BE' IT RESOLVED that the City Councii of the City of Tustin does hereby go On _record as requesting ' ' that the Orange County Board of Supervisors establish, pursuan[ to the provisions of Section 25210.11 of the Government Code,. a County service area in all unincorporated portions of the county covering all services provided unincorporated areas in the county; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that· the City Clerk is directed to transmit a copy of this resolution to the Board of Super- visors of Orange County, · PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 2nd day of February, 1976 · ATTEST - M~YOR .~;/ .
