HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 75-723~3 10 · 12 13 · 1.4 15 16 17 - 18 19 20 22 · 23 24. 25 26 27 28 29 30 3I 32 RESOLUTION NO. 75-72 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFIORNIA, CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE HOLDING OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON TUESDAY THE 2ND DAY OF MARCH, 1976, FOR THE ELECTION OF CERTAIN OFFICERS OF SAID CITY AS REQUIRED BY THE PROVISIONS OF THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA RELATING TO GENERAL LAW CITIES. WHEREAS, under the provisions of %he. laws relating to General Law Cities in the State of California, a regular general municipal election shall be held on the '2nd day of March, 1976, for the election of three members, of the City Council of said City for the full term of four years, and a City C"erk of said City for the full term of 'four years; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF TtIE CITy OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS- SECTION. 1. That pursuant to the requi.rements of the laws of the State of California relating to General Law Cities within said' State, there shall be, and there is hereby called a-nd ordered, held in the City of Tusfin, County of Orange.. State of California, on Tuesday, the 2nd day of March, 1976, a regular general municipal election of the qualified electors of said City .for the purpose of electing three men~ers of the City · Council of said City for the full term of f~ur ye. ars, and a City Clerk of said City for the full term of four years. .- SECTION 2. That the ballots to be used at. said electioK shall be, both as to form and matter contained 'hherein, such as may be required by law to .be used thereat. · SECTION 3. That the City Clerk of said City is herebY authorized, instructed and directed to procure and furnish any and all o{ficial ballots, notices, printed matter and all .supplies, equipment and paraphernalia that may be necessary ~n Order to properly 'and lawfully conduct said election. · . . SECTION 4. That the polls for said election shall be open at seven' o'clock A.M. of the day of said election and shall remain open 'continuously fr .m said time until seven o'clock P.M.o.f the same day when s.aid polls shall be closed, except as provided in Section 14436 of the Elections Code of the State of California. ' ' SECTION 6. That notice of the time and place of holding said election is hereby given and the City Clerk is hereby authorized, instructed and directed to give such further or additional notice of said election, in time,, form and manner as required by law. /// SECTION 5.
