RESOLUTION NO. 73-88
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TUSTIN, REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF ORANGE
TO ALLOCATE ADDITIONAL ARTERIAL HIGHWAY
FINANCING PROGRAM FUNDS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT
OF YORBA STREET.
WHEREAS the City of Tustin desires to improve Yorba
Street from Laurie Lane to 250'+ South, and
;
WHEREAS, Yorba Street is an important artery in the
County of Orange and of general County interest, and
WHEREAS, Article 2 and Article 3, Chapter 9, Division 2
of the Streets and Highways Code, authorizes a County, if
it so 'desires, .to expend funds apportioned to it out of the
California Highway Users Tax Fund for aid to any City in
the improvement, construction, or repair of a street within
a City, and .
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors has, by appropriate
action, provided in the County budget of the Special Road
Improvement Fund, the amount of $4,800.00 for the improvement
of Yorba Street within the City of Tustin, and
WHERE. AS, the City of Tustin has determined that additional
monies will be needed for the improvement of Yorba Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT .RESOLVED that 'the City Council of
the City' of Tustin hereby requests the Board of Supervisors

County funds, the additional amount of $4,100.00, said
amount to be matched by funds from said City to be used to
aid said City in the improvement of Yorba Street from Laurie
Lane 'go 250'+ south.
BE IT FURThER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Orange is hereby requested to find that said
work on Yorba Street in the manner provided is in the
general County interest.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that by this Resolution, the
City of Tustin agrees with the basic concepts of the Arterial
Highway Financing Program; and further agrees that its
share of the cost of improvements will be available for the
Fiscal Year ].973-1974.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Tustin, this 17th day
of December, 1973
