HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 73-53 RESOLUTION NO. 73-53 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE TUSTIN CITY HALL, AND RELATED SITE WORK AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS. W~EP~EAS, it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Tustin, California, to. construct the Tustin City Hall and related site work, and WHEREAS, the Building Official has presented plans and specifications for the construction of said work at this location, NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the plans and specifications presented by the Building Official be and are hereby approved as the plans and specifications for the Tustin City Hall and related site work. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that' the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to advertise as required by law for ~-.he receipt of sealed bids or proposals for the doing of the work specified in the aforesaid plans and specifications which said advertisement shall be substantially in the following words and .~i~ures, to-wit- "NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS" SEALED PROPOSALS will be received at the office of the City Clerk, Tustin City Hall, 140 West Second .Street, ·Tustin, California, until 11 o'clock A.M. on the 17th day of August, 1973, at which time they will be p~biicly opened and r~ad, for performing work as fo!lcws- , In the City of Tustin, construction of the Tustin City Hall and related site work. Base Bid-Building- Includes heating, ventilating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical and fire sprinklers. Base Bid-Site Work. Includes all ~tiiit'ie's ~-1-i~ghting, paving, drainage, yard work, etc. The foregoing quantities are approximate only, being given · as a .basis for the comparison of bids, and the City of Tustin does not, ~?,×pressly or by implication, agree that the actual amount of work will correspond therewith, but reserves the right to increase or decrease the amount of any class or portion of the work~ or to omit portions of the work as may be deemed necessary or advisable .and in the best interest of the City .by the Engineer. All work to be paid fOr at the unit prices bi.d from appropriate monies. · 160 Said City of Tustin, pursuant 'to the Labor Code of the State of California, has ascertained and determined ~that the general prevailing rate of hourly and per diem wages in the locality in which the said work herein described is to be performed, for each craft or type of workman or mechanic needed to execute the contract and also the genera], prevailing rate for legal holidays and overtime work for each craft or type of workman or mechanic, to be as indicated in Resolution 70-42 as previously published in a newspaper of general circulation, and on file in the office o.f the City Clerk. Employer payments other than those itemized therein, as defined in Section 1773.1' of the Labor Code, are to be paid in accordance with the terms of the collective bargaining agreement applicable to the type.or classification of the workmen or mechanics employed on the project. Copies of al'l collective bargaining agreements relating to the work as set forth in the aforementioned Labor Code are on file and available for inspection in the office of the Department of Industrial Relations~ Division of Labor Statistics and Research.
