RESOLUTION NO. 73-42
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TUSTIN SUPPORTING HOUSE CONGRESSIONAL
RESOLUTION 189
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN DOES HEREBY
· .
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS"
WHEREAS, a number of nations of the world. have ou.t-
standing debts to the Onited States which are estimated to total
-.,
approximately $45,000,000,000; and ~
WHEREAS,. the American people should not be made
·
to subsidize t'hese outstanding debts; and
WHEREAS, the domestic economy has required reduc-
tion in needed expenditures; and
WHEREAS, the United States .has had to develop new
sources of income; and
WHEREAS, the United States has experienced a con-
tinuing balance of payments deficit;
NOW., THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City
Council of the City of Tustin does hereby support HOUSE CON-
GRESSIONAL RESOLUTION 189, and urges its representatives in
Congress to support such Resolution.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this
Resolution be forwarded to Congressmen .and Senators in Washington,
D.C. representing Orange County.
