RESOLUTION NO. 73-18
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TUSTIN, APPROVING THE PROPOSED
FEDERAL-AID URBAN STREET SYSTEM FOR THE
CITY OF TUSTIN, URBANIZED AREA PORTION
OF THE LOS ANGELES-LONG BEACH METROPOLITAN
AREA.
WHEREAS, the Federal Highway Act of 1970 directed
61~ the establishment of a Federal-Aid Urban System for the
?,! Metropolitan Areas, and .~
WHEREAS, the Federal legislation provided that
8Ii routes on the Urban System. shall be selected by appropriate
· local officials and the State Highway Department in

cooperation with each .other, and

WHEREAS, the Los Angeles Regioh Transportation
Study Group and the local agencies of the Los Angeles-
Long Beach Metropolitan Area, in cooperation with the Division.
of Highways have selected a proposed Federal-Aid Urban
System within the 1970 Bureau of Census Urbanization Limits
conforming to the instructions of the Federal Highway
Administration, and
WHEREAS, the proposed routes of Federal-Aid Urban
System for the Los Angeles-Long Beach Metropolitan Area=
conform to the Federal and State functional classification
systems of the region. ~

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT Pd~SOLVED ·'that the City of
Tustin approves the proposed Federal-Aid Urban System
selected for the City of Tustin portion of the Los Angeles-
Long Beach Metropolitan Area and any changes in the Federal-
Aid Secondary System' and the Federal-Aid Primary Type II
(TOPICS) System, all as shown on the attached maps, and
recommends them for submission to the Federal Highway
Administration by the California Division of Highways.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regUlar meeting of the
City Council of the City of Tustin, this 19th day of March, 1973.
