A RESOLUTON OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN REQUESTING THAT THE COUNTY OF ORANGE
DELETE FIRST STREET FROM NEWPORT AVENUE TO
RED HILL AVENUE FROM THE MASTER PLAN OF ARTERIAL
HIGHWAYS.

WHEREAS, this section of First Street is primarily residential
in character and terminates at Red Hill Avenue, and;
WHEREAS, this street is located entirely within the City
·
of Tustin and does not perform any function of Countywide
significance as an arterial highway should;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED tkat the City Council of
the City of Tustin hereby requests that the County of Orange
make any necessary studies and schedule hearings as may be
required to delete that portion of First Street from Newport
Avenue to Red Hill Avenue from the County Master Plan of Arterial
Highways.
BE IF FURTHER RESOLVED that, upon favorable action by the
County, the City of Tustin will hold the necessary hearings to
act upon deletion of this portion of First Street from the
City's Master Plan of Arterial Highways.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Tustin, this 5th day of September, 1972.
