HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 72-504 10 11 12 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 2~ 24 25 27 28 29 ~0 RESOLUTION NO. 72 - 50 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, ADOPTING THE OPEN SPACE - CONSERVA- TI ON - RECREATION ELEMENT OF THE TUSTIN AREA GENERAL PLAN. WHEREAS, seCtions 65302 and 65563 of the State of Califor- nia Government Code (State Planning and Zoning Law) require that the city shall adopt a Conservation and an Open Space Element of the General Plan; and WHEREAS, Conservation, Open Space and Park DeveloPment are inter-related factors of environmental enhancement and are thus consolidated into one document for the purpose of coordina- tion; and WHEREAS, a plan has been prepared, distributed and coor-' dinated with other governmental agencies and the public, as re- quired by law; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was duly advertised and conducted by the Planning Commission of the City of Tustin on June 12, 1972 and said Commission unanimously recommended adoption of the Open Space - Conservation - Recreation Element of the General Plan by Resolution No. 1268; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was duly advertised and conducted by the Tustin City Council on said plan on July 24, 1972. NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of Tustin does hereby resolve as follows: That the Open Space - Conservation - Recreation Element is hereby adopted as an amendment to the Tustin Area General Plan for the purpose of establishing the polic'ies of the City Council in compliance with the State of California Planning and Zoning Law for. the comprehensive and long-range preservation of open space land within its jurisdiction; the conservation of natur, al resources; the acquisition and development of park lands; and the enhancement of the natural environment.
