RESOLUTION NO. 72-19 (A)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA,
RECOMMENDING AND URGING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF THE COUNTY OF ORANGE TO REQUIRE CONDITIONAL
USE PERMITS FOR SERVICE STATIONS AND TAKE-OUT
FOOD ESTABLISHMENTS IN UNINCORPORATED TERRITORY
OF ORANGE COUNTY
WHEREAS; the City of Tustin requires the issuance of a
Conditional Use Permit for the construction and operation of
service stations, take-out food establishments and other outdoor
activities, and ~
WHEREAS, the City of Tustin requires that such Conditiona
Use Permits be 'issued for such activities only upon a showing that
such use will not constitute a detriment to neighboring residences
or uses, and
WHEREAS, the ordinances of the County of Orange do not
require a Conditional Use Permit for such outdoor uses, and
WHEREAS, certain of these outdoor activities have been
constructed and operated in unincorporated areas of the County of
Orange adjacent to the City of Tustin, and
WHEREAS, some of these outdoor activities have been
felt 'to be detrimental to adjacent residences and uses,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Tustin
hereby resolves that it is recommended to the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Orange that it cause the zoning laws of the
County of Orange to be amended to require the issuance of a
Conditional Use Permit for the construction and operation of
service stations, take-out food establishments and other outdoor
activities.

Council of the citY of Tustin, California, held on the 3rd
day of April , 19 72.
