A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN MAKING FINDINGS ON CHAPTER 27 OF THE
1911 ACT PETITION AND INSTRUCTING THE SUPERINTENDENT
OF STREETS TO PROCEED WITH THE STEPS NECESSARY
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN STREET IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Tustin, California,
has presented .a petition signed by certain property owners
requesting institution of proceedings under the provisions of
" " being
Chapter 27 of Part 3 of the Improvement Act of 1911, .
Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California, for the-construction of certain street improvements
on Laguna Road from approximately 84 to 284 feet easterly of
'Newport Avenue and,
WHEREAS, the said City Clerk has reported that the said
petition has been checked by the Superintendent of Streets and
found to contain the sig, n~atures of all of the owners of more
than 60% of the frontage of the property to be affected by the
requested improvements;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN,
CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the petition requesting installation
of street improvements as indicated above
has been signed by all of the owners of
more than 60 per cent. of the frontage of
the property to be affected by the improve-
ments requested in the said petition and
that the said petition meets the requirements
of Sections 5871, 5875 and 5876 of the
said Code and has ,expressly waived the 60
daY period for commencing the construction;
SECTION 2. That the Superintendent of Streets be and
is hereby instructed to proceed with the
steps necessary to have the said improvements
constructed pursuant to Chapter 27 of
Part 3 of Division 7 of the said Code.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of'Tustin, California, held on the 7th day of February, 1972.
