RESOLUTION NO. 70-45
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUSTIN, ANNEXING TO THE CITY OF TUSTIN CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY DECRIBED HEREIN, AND
DESIGNATED "NEWPORT-SYCAMORE ANNEXATION NO. 66.
The City Council of the City of Tustin, California, does
hereby resolve as follows.
1) Pursuant to the provisions of' the Government Code of the
State of California, application was made to the Local Agency Formation Com-
mission to annex to the City of Tustin all that uninhabited territory situated
in the County of Orange, State of California, hereby designated as "Newport-
Sycamore Annexation No. 66", and described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
incorporated t]erein by this reference as though set forth herein in full.
2) The Local Agency Formation Commission, in session duly
assembled, on September 10, 1970, did approve said proposed
annexation, and authorized the City Council to annex said territory
without notice, hearing or election.
3) The City Council finds and determines that all of said terr-
tory is uninhabited, within the meaning of the Government Code, on the date
of adoption of this Resolution, and that said territory is contiguous to the
City of Tustin.
4) Ail of the owner's of land within the territory proposed to
be annexed have given their written consent to the annexation of said territory.'

5) The City Council desires to annex said uninhabited territory
to the City of Tustin for the following reasons: The territory is contiguous
to the City of Tustin and its proposed annexation will contribute to an
facilitate the orderly growth and development of both the City and the territory
proposed to be annexed, will facilitate and contribute to the proper and orderly
layout, design and construction of streets', gutters, sidewalks, and sanitary
and storm-water sewers and drainage facilities, both in the City and in the
territory proposed to be annexed, and will provide and facilitate proper overall
planning and zoning of lands in said City and in said uninhabited terr' ory, in
a manner most conducive to the welfare of the City and said uninhabited territory
6) The City Council of the City of Tustin does hereby approve the
annexation of the territory hereinabove described to the City of Tustin, and
does hereby further resolve that the said territory be and it is hereby annexed
to the City of Tustin, effective upon the date of the filing of a certified
copy of this Resolution with the Secretary of State of the State of California.
7) The City Clerk of the City of Tustin is hereby directed without
delay to transmit to the Secretary of State of the State of California a
certified copy of this Resolution.

Beginning at the point of intersection of the centerline of Newport
Avenue and the centerline of Sycamore Avenue, said point of intersection
also being the most westerly corner of Lot 49, Block 11, Irvine's Subdivisipn,
as per map recorded in Book 1, Page 88 of Miscellaneous Maps, Official
Records of Orange County, California.
Thence, S. 50°01'06'' E., along said centerline of Sycamore Avenue, and
long thee southwesterly line of Lot 4Q, Block 11, of said Irvine's Sulodivision
distance of 396.78 feet, to the intersection of the southwesterly extension
of the southeasterly the of Parcel 2, of a Parcel Map recorded in Book 11,
Page 46 of Parcel Maps, Official Record..] of Orange County, California;
Thence, N. 39°5~'4'7'' E., along said southwesterly extension of the
southeasterly line of Parcel 2, a distance of 30.00 feet, to the most
southerly corner of said Pa.rcel 2, said most southerly corner also being
a point on the northeasterly right-of-way line of Sycamore Avenue;
Thence, continuing N. 39°59'47" E., along said southeasterly line of
Parcel 2, a distance of 300.18 feet, to the most. easterly corner of said
Parcel 2, said most easterly corner also being a point on the existing
boundary of' the City of Tustin, California, as established by the Newport
Avenue - Myrtle Avenue Annexation., per Ordinance No. 378, passed and
adopted December 18, 1967;
Thence, N. 50°01'01'' W., along said City Boundary and along the
northeasterly lines of Parcel 2 and Parcel 1 of said Parcel Map, a
distanCe of 346.76 feet, to the most nort/%erly corner of said Parcel 1,
said most northerly corner also being a point on the southeasterly
right-of-waY line of Newport Avenue;
Thence, continuing N. 50°01'01" W., along said City Boundary, a
distance of 50.00 feet to the intersection of the centerline of Newport
Avenue, said centerline also being the northwesterly line of said' Lot 49,
Block 11, Irvine's Subdivision;
' Thence, continuing N. 50°01'01" W., along said City Boundary, a
[istance of 30.00 feet, to an angle point in said City Boundary, said
single point also being a point on the existing boundary of the City of
Tustin, CaIifornia, as established by the South Tustin Avenue Annexation,
per Ordinance No. 136, passed and adopted July 5, 1960;
Thence, S. 40o00'00'' W., along said City Boundary as established
by last mentioned annexation, a distance of 330.19 feet, to the inter-
section of the northwegterly extension of the southwesterly line of said
Lot 49, .Block 11, Irvine's Subdivision;
Thence, leaving said City Bound.ary, S. 50o01'06'' E., along said
northwesterly extension of the southwesterly line of Lot 49, 'a distance
of 30.00. feet, to the point of beginning.
