AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN,
3 CALIFORNIA AMENDING THE TUSTIN CITY CODE REGARDING THE
APPOINTMENT AND TERMS OF MEMBERS OF THE PARKS AND
4 RECREATION COMMISSION, AUDIT COMMITTEE, CULTURAL
RESOURCES ADVISORY COMMITTEE AND PLANNING COMMISSION
5 The City Council of The. City of TuStin does hereby ordain as
6 follows:
7 1. Section 1513 of the Tustin City Code is hereby amended
to read as follows:
8 Section 1513. APPOINTMENT AND TERMS
9 Members of the Planning Commission shall be appointed by
the City Council. The terms of office of two (2) of the
10 holders of said offices on February 1, 1991 shall be from
11 that date until the third Monday in July, 1991 and the
terms of office of three (3) of the holders of said
offices on February 1, 1991 shall.be from that date until
12
the third Monday in July, 1992. The term of each of said
13 offices shall thereafter be for two (2) years commencing
on the expiration date of each office as prescribed
hereinabove.

15 All members of the Commission shall serve at the pleasure~
of the City Council and may be removed upon motion of the
16 City Council adopted by'at least three (3) affirmative
votes. All members of the Commission shall serve until
17 their respective successors are appointed and qualified.
A member of the Planning Commission shall automatically
be deemed removed from office upon filing for or
18 announcing his or her candidacy for any elective office
or upon the occurrence of three (3) successive unexcused
19 absences from Planning Commission meetings or upon more
than five (5) absences f-rom Planning Commission meetings
20 within any six (6) consecutive month period.

2. Section 1514 of the Tustin City Code is hereby amended
to read as follows:
Members of the Planning Commission shall receive
25 compensation as prescribed by the City Council from time
to time.
3. Section 1539 of the Tustin City Code is hereby amended
25 to read as follows:
26 Section 1539. APPOINTMENT AND TERMS
Members of the Audit Committee shall be appointed by the
28 City Council. The terms of the two (2) members whose

3 terms prior to February 1, 1991 were to expire in 1992
shall expire on the third Monday in July, 1995 and the
4 holders of said offices whose terms prior to February 1,
1991 were to expire in 1993 shall expire on the third
5 Monday in July, 1993. The terms of each of said offices
shall thereafter be for four (4) years, commencing on the.
6 expiration date of each office as prescribed hereinabove.
7 All members of the Audit Committee shall serve at the
pleasure of-the City Council and may be removed upon
8 motion of the City Council adopted by at least three (3)
affirmative votes. All members of the Audit Committee
9 shall serve until their respective successors are
appointed and qualified. Members of the Audit Committee
10 shall receive compensation as prescribed by the City
Council from time to time.
4. Section 1553 of the Tustin City Code is hereby amended
12 to read as follows:
13 Section 1553. APPOINTMENT AND TERMS
14 Members of the Parks & Recreation Commission shall be
appointed by the City Council. The terms of office of
15 four (4) of the members shall be from the time of their ~
appointment until the third Monday in July 1991 and the
16 terms ofoffice of three (3) of the members shall be from
the time of their appointment until the third Monday of
17 July, 1992. The term of each of said offices shall
thereafter be for two (2) years commencing on the
18 expiration date of each office as hereinabove provided.
19 All members of the Commission shall serve at the pleasure
of the City Council and may be removed upon motion of the
20 City Council adopted by at least three (3) affirmative
votes. All members of the Commission shall serve until
21 their respective successors are appointed and qualified.
22 5. Section 1554 of the Tustin City code is hereby amended
to read as follows:
Members of the Parks & Recreation Commission shall

from time to time.

5 6. Tustin City Code is hereby amended by the addition
thereto of PART 6 to read as follows:
PART 6 CULTURAL RESOURCES ADVISORY COMMITTEE

1561 TERMS OF OFFICE
The Cultural Resources Advisory Committee is
7 established by Section 9252c and the
qualifications of its members are as prescribed
8 in said section.
9 The terms of office of two (2) of the members
of the Cultural Resources Advisory Committee
10 on February 1, 1991 shall be from that date
until the third Monday in July, 1992 and the
11 terms of office of three (3) of the members of
the Cultural Resources Advisory Committee on
12 February 1, 1991 shall be from that date until
the third Monday in July, 1993. The term of
13 each of said offices shall thereafter be 'for
four (4) years commencing on the expiration
14 date of each office as prescribed hereinabove.
15 All members of the Cultural Resources Advisory
Committee shall serve at the pleasure of the City
16 Council and may be removed upon motion of the City
Council adopted by at least three (3) affirmative
17 votes. All members of the Cultural Resources
Advisory Committee shall serve until their
18 respective successors are appointed and qualified.
19 7. The determination of which members of the bodies
described above shall have the shorter or longer terms shall be
20 decided by the members of the respective bodies by lot at a regular
meeting and shall be recorded in the minutes of the meeting of the
21 body and shall be subject to approval of the City Council or if not
so determined shall be determined by action of the City Council.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council
25 of the City of Tustin held on the 18th day of March, 1991. , 1991.

five; that the above and foregoing Ordinance No. 1058 was duly and
regularly introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council
held on the 4th day of March, 1991, and was given its second reading
and duly passed and adopted at a regular meeting held on the 18th day
of March, 1991, by the following vote:
