A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC
SIGNALS AND HIGHWAY LIGHTING AT THE INTER-
SECTION OF MCFADDEN STREET AND PASADENA AVENUE,
AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK
TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS.
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council of the City
of: ?ustin, California, to install traffic signals and highway
lighting.at the intersection of McFadden Street and Pasadena
AVenue, and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has presented plans and specifications
'~or..the construction of these facilities at this location,
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that the plans and specifications
presented by the City Engineer be and are hereby approved as the plans
and specifications for the construction of traffic signals and highway
lighting at the intersection of McFadden Street and Pasadena Avenue.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby authorized
and directed to advertise as required by law for the receipt of sealed
bids or proposa'ls for the doing of the work specified in the aforesaid
p~ians and specifications which said advertisement shall be Substantially

Clerk, T~stin City Hall, 135 West Third Street, Tustin, California,

The foregoing quantities are approximate only, being given a0s a
basis for the comparison of bids, and the City of Tustin does not,
expressly or by implication, agree that the actual amount of work will
correspond therewith, but reserves the right to increase or decrease.

of the work as may be deemed necessary or advisable by the Engineer.
Plans, specifications, and proposal forms to be used for bidding
On this project can only be obtained at the Tustin City Hall, Tustin,
California.
In conformance with Section 37931 of the Government Code, all bids
shall be presented under sealed cover on the proposal form provided
and accompanied by one 'of the following forms of bidder's security:
a. Cash,
'/.,~. b. Cashier's check made payable to the City of Tustin,
" ¢. Certified check made payable to the City of Tustin,
d. Bidder's bond executed by an 'accredited surety insurer,
made payable to the City of Tustin.

.' The security shall be in an amount equal to at least ten percent
. (10%) of the amount of the highest Alternate bid. A bid shall not be

, . California, has ascertained and determined that the general prevailing

workman or mechanic needed to execute the contract and also the
.':' general prevailing rate for legal holidays and overtime work for each
.. craft Or type of workman or mechanic, to be as indicated in Resolution
10.1.9 adopted September 2, 1969, as p~eviously published in a newspaper
of general circulation, and on file in the office of the City Clerk.
Employer payments other than those itemized therein, as defined in
Section 1773.1 of the Labor Code, are to be paid in accordance with
the terms, of the collective bargaining agreement applicable to the type
or classification of the workmen or mechanics employed on the project.
Copies of all collective bargaining agreements relating e.o the
work as set forth in the aforementioned Labor Code are on file and
available .for inspection in the office of the Department of Industrial
Relations, Division of Labor Statistics and Research.
