A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN, CALIIORNIA, GRANTING A VARIANCE ON
APPLICATION NO. V 68-222 OF GULF.
The City Council of the City of Tustin,. California, does
hereby resolve as follows:
1)
The City Council finds and determines:
a)
·
That a proper application (No. V 68-222) was file
on behalf of Gulf to permit a pole sign on the
property described in Exhibit A attached hereto
and incorporated herein by this reference.
b)
That a public hearing was duly called, noticed
and held by the Planning Commission, and said
var'lance application was denied.
c)
An appeal from said denial was duly filed.
d)
The City Council. duly called, noticed and held
a public hearing on said application.
e)
Because of special circtunstances applicable to
the subject property the strict application of 1
Ordinance would create a hardship.
f)
That said variance would not Constitute a grant
of special privilege and would not be detrimental
to adjacent properties or uses.
2)
A variance is hereby granted to permit a pole sign
on the subject property, six feet in diameter, of an over-all
height of l8 feet.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council held on the 6th day of January, 1969

All that portion of the F, W. Koll Allotment in Section 1'6, Township-5, South
Range 9 West as per map of Partition of the Rancho Santiago De Santa. Ana
Recorded in Book B of Judgements Of the 17th Judicial District Court, Los
Angeles County, California.
Commencing at a stake 27.15 chains East of a boulder that marks the
morthwest corner of land deeded by Silas Ritchey t:o G. G. Godfrey, recorded
on October 20, 1881 in Book 83, page 64, Deeds, Records of Los Angeles
County, California; thence South 7o95'chains; thence North 39o30' East 10o23
chains to a redwood post; thence West 6.54 chains to the point of beginning.
NOTE: The most westerly line of the above property was determined by
previous surveys in this area. The westerly line is parallel to the centerline
of Tustin Avenue. By analysis the direction 'of south as called f'or in the
deed. (south 7.95 chains) was not intended to be South or at right angles to
McFadden Avenue but parallel to Tustin Avenue as other North-South property
lines in the area.

RESOLUTION NO. 976
