CONSENT CALENDAR:

PUBLIC MEETING:
1. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT 08-016 - a request to provide massage services in
conjunction with an existing beauty salon and spa.
APPLICANT: NOVA VITA SALON AND SPA
ATTN: KATERINA BISBIKIS-KIOUSIS
PROPERTY OWNER: LA FAYETTE PLAZA INVESTORS, LP
c/o REMARC MANAGEMENT, INC.
LOCATION: 13011 NEWPORT AVENUE, SUITE 110
RECOMMENDATION
That the Zoning Administrator adopt Zoning Administrator Action 08-009
approving Conditional Use Permit 08-016.

The Acting Zoning Administrator explained the process to those in attendance and asked
each person to state his or her name for the record as follows: Katerina-Biskikis-Kiousis,
applicant; Kelly Bridgford, manager; Dimitra Biskikis and Spiro Kiousis, business owners.

The Acting Zoning Administrator briefly reviewed highlights of the staff report and asked
the applicant if she had read the report.
The applicant answered in the affirmative.
The Acting Zoning Administrator referred to the licensing requirement necessary for this
use and asked if the applicant had any questions.
Katyerina Bisbikis-Kiousis asked if there would be another inspection of the site to ensure
that all the conditions were met and when she would be able to begin the use.
Edmelynne Huffer stated there would be a final inspection, and the applicant would need
to get all the necessary permits for the use.
The Acting Zoning Administrator added that the applicant must comply with all the codes
and conditions and that, if there are complaints related to this use, there would need to be
a further review and possible revocation if the applicant is not in compliance. The Acting
Zoning Administrator asked if the applicant had any further questions.
Ms. Bisbikis-Kiousis answered in the negative.
The Acting Zoning Administrator stated, that based on the staff report and conditions of
approval, Zoning Administrator Action 08-009 approving Conditional Use Permit 08-
016was approved.
The Acting Zoning Administrator explained that there is a seven-day appeal period for this
item.
The Public Hearing closed at 10:38 a.m.

are set for hearing.
