HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 9584 5 8 10 11 15 15 16 19 ~0 ~4 ~5 ~6 ~8 3O RESOLUTION NO. 958 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, ANNEXING TO THE CITY OF TUSTIN CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN, AND DESIGNATED "WALNUT AVENUE-RED HILL AVENUE WEST ANNEXATION (REVISED) . The City Council of the City of Tustin, California, does hereby resolve as follows' · 1) Pursuant to the provisions of the Government Code of the State of California, application was made to the Local Agency Formation Commission to annex to the City of Tustin all that · uninhabited territory situated in the County of Orange, .State of · California, hereby designated as "WALNUT AVENUE-RED HILL AVENUE WEST ANNEXATION (REVISED)", and described in Exhibit "A" attached here. to and incorporated herein by this reference as though set forth hereih in full. , · 2) The Local Agency Formation Commission, in session duly assembled, on August 14, 1968, did approve said proposed annexation, and authorized the City Council to annex said .. territory w~thout notice, hearing or election. 3) The City Council finds and determines that ali. of said territory is uninhabited, wi[hin %he meaning of the Go'vernmelit · Code, on 'the date of adoption of this Resoiution,. and that said , · territory is contiguous to the City of Tus%i'n. 4) Ail of the owners of land within the territoy, y pro- posed to be annexed have given their written consent to the annexa- · tion of said ter'ritory to the City of Tustin. : 5) The City Council desires to annex said uninhabited , territory to the City of Tustin for the following reasons' The territory is contiguous to the City of Tustin and its proposed annexation will contribute to and facilitate the orderly growth , and development of both %he City and the territory proposed to be · annexed, will facilitate and contribute %o the~ proper and orderly / layout, design and cons'truction of streetS, g~tters, sidewalks, and sanitary and storm-water sewers and drainage facj. lities, both ~ in the City and in the territory proposed to be annexed, and will' provide and faqi.litate proper over-all planning and zoning of lands in,/s~tid citY and in said uninhabited territory, in 'a manner'most § co~nducive to the welfare of the City and said uninhabited territo] 6 6) The City Council of the City of Tustin does hereby · approve the annexation of the territory hereinabove described to 8 the City' of Tustin, and does hereby furth'er resolve that the said 9 territory be and it is hereby annexed to the City of 'Tustin, 10 effective upon the date of the filing of a certified copy of this Resolution with the Secretary of State of the State of California. 7) The City Clerk o~f the City of Tustin is hereby , directed without delay to transmit to the Secretary of State of the I State o~ Ca]'ifornSa a cer~±£ied copy' of this Re2olution. 15 PASSED' AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting Of the City 16 Council of the City of Tustin, C. aiifornia, :held on the 19th day of August, 1968.
