A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA URGING SUPPORT OF THE 1968
TUSTIN CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION
The City Council of the City of' Tustin, does resolve as
follows:
WHEREAS, in the year of 1868, Columbus Tustin did found the area
known as "Tustin City", and
WHEREAS, the year of 1968 commemorates the 100th Anniversary of the
founding of this Tustin Area, and
WHEREAS, we all feel that greater advantages and more worthwhile
benefits are obtained by being a part of this Tustin Community life, with
the one common interest of fulfilling our needs for better living,and
WHEREAS, the Tustin Centennial Committee has been formed to
develop and conduct a Centennial Celebration, and
WHEREAS, the complete success of this 100th Anniversary will only
be insured by everyone's contribution of enthusiastic cooperation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Tustin City Council does
hereby support this Centennial Committee and its goals and urges that all
Area Citizens and Organizations extend their fullest and most wholehearted
assistance to. this community project.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Tustin, California, held on the 4th day of December, 1967.
