A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING ACTION BY THE
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF ORANGE TO
CURTAIL NUDE AND SEMI-NUDE DANCERS AND WAITRESSES
APPEARING IN PUBLIC PLACES.
WHEREAS Orange County has become the target of various
interests who are endeavoring to place nude, semi-nude and scantilyi
clad dancers and waitresses in public places; and
WHEREAS many of the cities of Orange County are attempting
to deal with this problem so as to prohibit such activities, and
the City Council of the City of Tustin believes
that this drive to inject such activities into Orange County repre-
sents a substantial threat to the public welfare and will be a
precursor of greater threats to the welfare if left unrestricted, and
WHEREAS it is in the best interests of all the citizens
residing in Orange County, whether residing within an incorporated
city or residing in an unincorporated area of the County, that a
common front be presented against such activities,
NOW, THEREPORE, BE. IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervis. s
of the County of Orange is requested to take all steps immediately
to curtail the appearance of nude, semi-nude and scantily-clad dan-
cers and waitresses in public places by the adoption and rigorous
enforcement of all appropriate laws.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of each of
the cities within the County of Orange is urged and requested to
adopt resolutions of intent similar to tho foregoing, and to transmit
the same to the Board of Supervisors of the County of 0range.
The City Clerk of the City of Tustin is hereby directed to
forward immediately to the Board of Supervisors of tho County of
Orange a copy of this Resolution; and to forward to the City Council
of each of the cities within the.County of Orange a copy of this
resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Tustin, California, held on the 17th day of April, 1967
