HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 752RESOLUTION NO. 752 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, OF INTENTION TO ABANDON AND VACATE A PORTION OF A PUBLIC STREET (SECOND STREET FROM PASADENA AVENUE TO THE NEWPORT FREEWAY). The City Council of the City of Tusti. n, California, does resolve as follows: 1) That the City Council deems that the best interests of the publlc require that a portion of a public street, to-wit, Second Street, from Pasadena Avenue to the Newport Freeway, be closed to public use, abandoned and vacated by the City, and that said portion of a public street is unnecessary for present or prospective street use.. Property more fully described as follows: Commencing at a point on the West line of Pasadena Avenue (60 feet wide), said point also being on the North line of Second Street (50 feet wide); thence N 89°20'15" W along said North line of Second Street, a distance of 124.09 feet, to the Easterly line of the Newport Freeway; thence s 17°03'06" W, along said Easterly line, a distance of 52.12 feet, to the South llne of said Second Street (50 feet wide); thence, S 89°20'15'' E. along said South line, a distance of 138.89 feet to the West line of said Pasadena Avenue (60 feet wide); thence N 0o33'18'' E, along said West line, a ,,~.lstance of 50.00 feet to the point of beginning. 2) That a copy of this Resolution shall be published in a newspaper ~aper of general circulation in the City of Tustln and a notice of the hereinafter mentioned, public hearing shall be duly posted at intervals of not more than three hundred feet (300') in the area to be abandoned, and in any case not less than three (3) such notices shall be posted, and such posting and publication, shall be made not less than ten (10) days prior to the date of the herelnaf~er mentioned public hearing shall be duly posted at interval~ of not more than three hundred feet (300') in the area to be abandoned, and in any case not less than three (3) such notices shall be posted, and such posting and publication shall be made not less than ten (10) days prior to the date of the hereinafter mentioned public hearing. 3) That a map of the said public street and the area proposed to be vacated and abandoned is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Tustin, and reference may be made thereto; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Tustin, California, to abandon and vacate the above-described portlon of a public street in the City of Tustin, California, and that on the 4th day of January, 1965, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. the City C6uncil of the City of Tustin, in the ~Tustin Youth Center, in the City of Tustin, California will hold a public hearing for the purpose of hearing all persons interested in or objecting 'to the proposed vacation and. abandonment; and after said hearing to make its order, according to its findings from all the evidence submitted, whether or not said street is necessary for present or prospective street uses.
