A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, AWARDING THE
CONTRACT FOR THE WORK DESCRIBED IN RESOLU-
TION OF INTENTION NO. 615.
T!-!E CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN~does ~SOLVE
and ORDER as follows:
That the City Council of the City of T~stin, California,
having in open session on the l~th day of November, 1962, publicly
opened, examined and declared all sealed proposals or bids for the
following work to be done and improvements to be made in said
City, to-wit:
The construction of sanitary sewers and all appurtengnces
and appurtenant work in "'fUSTIN CITY SEWER ASSE$SM~i'qT DISTRICT
NO. 1" in said City, all as more particularly described in
Resolution of Intention No. 615, passed and adopted by the City
Cou~"~cit of the City o£ Tustin on August 20, 1962, as amended by
Resolution No. 621, passed and adopted by' said City Council on
October 29, 1962, and on file in the office o£ the City Clerk o£
said City.
For further }oarticulars, reference is hereby ~'.~ade to
said Resolution of Intention No. 615, as amended!::~ry Resolution
No. 621, and to the modified plans, profiles and drawings on file
in the offices of the City Clerk and the City Engineer of said
City, and to the specifications for the said work heretofore
adopted by the said City Council and on file in the offices of
the City Clerk and the City Engineer of said City, and all of
said modified plans, 'profiles, drawings and specifications
heretofore approved by the City Council of said City-are incor-
porated herein and made a part hereof and reference is hereby
made thereto for a more particular description of said work.
Said City Council has determined and declared that the
contemplated work and improvement heretofore mentioned was, in
the opinion of said City Council, of more than local or ordinary
public benefit, and the said City Council has made the expense of
said work chargeable upon a .district. For the particular des-
cri}~tion of said district, reference is hereby made to said
Resolution of Intention No. 615, as amended by said Resolution
No. 6gl.
Said City COuncil has determined and declared that
serial bonds, bearing, interest at the rate o£ six per cent (6~)
per annum and extending over a period ending nSne (9) years from
Lhe second day of January next succeeding the next September 1st
following their date, will be issued hereunder in the manner pro-
vided by the "IM~:.~tOV~M~,~NT ACT OF i91![ being Part 5, Division
? of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California,
to represent each assessment o£ Fifty Dollars ($~0.00) or more
re¥;~aining unpaid for thirty (-50) days after the date of record-
the wa?rant.
All of the work herein ordered shall be done and
carried through in pursuance of an Act of the Legislature of the
State of California, deSignated the "Improvement Act of 1911,"
being Division ? o£ the Streets and Highways Code.
Said City Council hereby rejects all of the said pro-
posals or bids except 'the next hereinafter mentioned, and hereby
awards the contract for the said work and improvement ,to the
lowest, regular and responsible bidder, to-wit:
EDMOND J. VADNAIS
at the prices named in his bid for said work, on file in the
office of the City Clerk of said City.
The City Clerk of said C~ty is he~ bo. directed to cause
a NOTICE OF A~ARD OF CONTRACT to be published in the manner and
fo~ required by said Code in TI~ TUSTIN.NEW$, a weekly newspaper
published and circulated in said City and. hereby designated by the
said City Council for that puz2oose.
