A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, URGING SUPPORT AND
APPROVAL OF THE WATER BONDS.
The City Council of the City of Tustin, California,
does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the County of Orange in general, and the
Tustin area in particular, are in need of water supplies and
sources available, due to its inadequate underground water
supply; and
WHEREAS, the County of Orange in general, and the
Tustin area in particular, are dependent upon supplies of the
Metropolitan Water District; and
WHEREAS the County of Orange is presently drawing
more than the share of Metropolitan Water District wster to
which it will be entitled, when other entities in the district
need and are using their full share of water, and inasmuch as
within the next few years these other cities will need and
will be taking their full share, leaving the County of Orange
less water from the Metropoli. tan Water District than is
necessary for the needs of Orange County; and
WHEHEAS it will be a number of years before the
water from the Feather River project is available to Orange
County; and
WHEREAS, the construction of the East Orange County
feeder line through the Tustin area will provide greater
water delivery capacity for the Tustin area, and Eastern
Orange County, both, for supplying water for the Metropolitan
Water District and for use in supplying water from the Feather
River Project,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That the City Council of the City of Tustin does
declare and record its support of the proposed water bonds
foR the construction of the East Orange County feeder line
and urges a favorable vote in the election for approval of
said bonds.
PASSED AND ADOPTED AT a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Tustin, held on the 26th day of
March, 1962.

held on the 26th day of March, 1962, by the following votes:
