RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA
REQUESTING PAYMENT OR CREDIT FOR SALES TAX
PAID TO TIlE COUNTY OF ORANGE
WHEREAS, certain county territory was annexed to
the City of Tustin on March 15, 1957, said annexation being
designated the "REVERE ANNEXATION TO TUSTIN." Said territory
is described as follows'
and
Beginning at a point in the West ]..'ne of Tustin
Avenue (66 feet wide) bearing N. 0~17'30'' West
288.75 feet from the Southeast corner of the
North one-half of Lot "E" as shown on a map of
the Stafford and Tustin Tract, recorded in Mis-
cellaneous Records, Book 2, pages 618 and 619,
records of Los Angeles County, California, said
Southeast corner being in the West line of
Tustin Avenue (66 feet wide); thence S. 89°28'10"
West, parallel to the center line of First Street,
].?0.98 feet; thence N. 0009'00'' West 396.50 feet
to the North line of First Street (66 feet wide);
thence, West along the North line of First Street
to a point which is distant Westerly 235.80 feet
from the West line of Tus~in Avenue (60 feet wide)
as it exists North of First Street; thence North
200 feet; thence East 315.80 feet to the westerly
boundary l~.ne of the City of Tusti. n; thence
Southerly, Southeasterly and Southerly along said
boundary line of the City of Tustin to the
Easterly prolongation of the South line of the
said North one-half of Lot "E" of the Stafford
and Tustin Tract; thence West 33 feet to the West
line of Tustin Avenue; thence Northerly along the
West line of Tustin Avenue to the point of beginning;
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City of
Tustin that t!'~.e California State Board. of Equalization has rnis-
takenly distributed sales tax revenues from said annexed territory
to the County of Orange, rather than to the City of Tustin for' the
period commencing March 15, 19.57 to October 1., ].960 due to an error
in their records, said sales tax revenues which were mistaken],y
distributed to the County of Orang~ amounting to the total, sum
of ~23,215.0~; and
W~{EREAS, under, the Bradley-Burns Uniform Local Sales
and Use Tax Law, the State Board of Equalization is prohibited
from re-di, stributing any wrongly d. is'tributed revenues prior to
October 1, 1960; and

WHEREAS, the aforementioned sum are r~ght].y revenues
belonging to the City of Tustin and paid to the County of Orange
through an error of another agency;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of
Tustin petitions and requests that the County of Orange rc-pay said
~23,215.03 to the City of Tustin or afford credit therefore in such
manner as may be deemed appropriate.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the C~ty of Tustin, held. on the 18th clay of September,
1961.
