HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 483RESOLUTION NO. 483 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN DIRECTING THAT BOULEVARD STOP SIGNS BE INSTALLED AT THE INTERSECTION OF NEWPORT ROAD AND LAGUNA ROAD, CONTROLLING THE TRAFFIC TRAVELING IN A NORTHERLY AND SOUTHERLY DIRECTION ON NEWPORT ROAD AT LAGUNA ROAD AND CONTROLLING TRAFFIC TRAVELING IN AN EASTERLY AND WESTERLY DIRECTION ON LAGUNA ROAD AT NEWPORT ROAD. WHEREAS, Elmer Johansen, the Superintendent of Streets City of Tustin, has recommended, to the City Council of the City of Tustin that boUlevard stop signs be installed at the inter- section of Newport Road and Laguna Road in the City of Tustin in the interest of safety, controlling traffic traveling in a northerly and southerly direction on Newnort Road at Laguna Road and controlling trafffic traveling in an easterly and westerly direction on Laguna Road at Newoort Road, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Tustin does hereby direct that boulevard stop signs be installed at the northeast, southeast, southwest and northwest corners of' the intersection of' Newport R{oad and Laguna Road in the City of Tustin. Section 2. Said boulevard stop signs shall be installed in such a manner as to control traffic traveling in a norther- ly and southerly direction on Newport Road at Laguna Road and controlling traffic traveling in an easterly and. westerly direction on Laguna Road at Newport Road. Section .3. The City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to install said boulevard stop signs all as set forth in this Resolution.
