HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 435RESOLUTION NO. 435 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING RESULTS OF MUNICIPAL ELECTION OF APRIL 8, 1958. WHEREAS, a general Municipal election was held and conducted in the City of Tustin, California, on Tuesday, the 8th day of April, 1958, as required by law; and WHEREAS, it appears that notice of said election was duly and regularly given; that voting precincts were properly established; that election officers were duly appointed And election supplies furnished; and that in all respects said election was held and conducted, and the votes cast thereat received and canvassed, and the returns thereof made and declared all in the time, form and manner required by the general laws of the State of California, governing elections in cities of the sixth class; and WHEREAS, the City Council of said City of Tustin, California, met at the City Council Chambers in the City of Tustin, on Tuesday, April 15, 1958, to canvass the returns of said election and install the newly elected officers, as a result of which the said City Council finds the number of votes cast, the names of the persons voted for, and other matters required by law to be as hereinafter stated. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved as follows' That said general municipal election was held and conducted in the City of Tustin, California, on Tuesday, the 8th day of April, 1958, in the time, form and manner as required by law; That there was one voting precinct established for the purpose of holding said election, consisting of a consolidation of the regular election precincts established for holding general State and County elections as follows' "Precinct 1." Comprising State ~and County precinct numbers Tustin No. l, Tustin No. 2, and Tustin No. 3; That the whole number of votes cast in said election was 221. Kidd and Lee Byrd received the highest votes respectively for the. two positions to be filled on the City Council for the full term of four (4) years, and that they should be and they are hereby declared elected to the City Council of the City of Tustin t"or the full term of four (4) years. That there were no measures or propositions submitted to the voters at said municipal election of April 8, 1958. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Tustin, California, at a regularly adjourned meeting thereof held on the 15th day of April, 1958.
