A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TUSTIN PRESCRIBING NOTICE OF
SPECIAL ELECTION, ESTABLISHING VOTING
PRECINCTS, POLLS, APPOINTING ELECTION
OFFICIALS, AND PROVIDING FOR THE CONDUCT
OF SAID ELECTION.
The City Council of the City of. Tusttn does resolve as
follows:
The City Clerk is hereby authorized to publish according
to law the notice hereinafter set forth, the content of which is
hereby determined and a'~proved, to wit:
"NOTICE 0!~' SPECIAL ELECTION."
The City Council of the City of Tustin hereby gives notice
that a special election to determine whether the territory hereinafter
described, designated as "Eastside Annexation to Tustin" shall be
annexed to and incorporated within the City of Tustin, on Tuesday,
957.
The proposition to be submitted to the electors residing in
the area will be:
"Shall the Eastside Annexation to Tustin be annexed to the
City of Tustin?"
"Ye s"
The elctors residing wi thin said territory may vote, or
"No" at Farrar's garage located at 18181 Esst First Street, Tustin,
California, between the hours of 7:00 o'clock A. M. and 3:00 P. M.
All of said territory s.,all be one precinct to be known as "Eastside
Special Election Precinct".
The territory proposed to be annexed designated as "Eastside
Annexation to Tustin" is described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 1, in ~lock 42,
as shown on a "~¥£ap of Part of Tustin" recorded in Book 13,
page 81, ~iscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County,
California, said Northeast corner of Lot i being an angle point
in the City of Tustin boundary 1-~.ne and also being 33 feet
South measured at right angles from the center line of First
Street, 66 feet in width; thence Easterly from said point of
beginning along the South right of way line of East First
Street, ~6 feet wide, 1459.6~ feet, a little more or less
to the Southerly prolonMation of the ~esterly line of that
certain parcel conveyed to ~argaret Suddab'~~ by Deed recorded
January 29, 1934, in ~ook 659, page 19, Official Records
of Orange County, California; thence Northerly along said
Southerly prolongation and Northerly along the Westerly
line of said parcel conveyed to Nargaret Suddaby, 737.25,
more or less, to the North line of Lot marked "Leighy" as
shown on a Nap~of "Vanderlip and Rowan Tract" recorded in
Book 5, page l~O, Niscellaneous Records of Los Angeles
C~ounty, California; thence E~sterly along the Norther-
ly line of said "Leighy" lot and along the Easterly
prolongation thereof 1~90.00 feet, more or less, to the
Northwesterly line of the Irvine Subdivision recorded
in Niscellaneous Record Naps, Book l, page 88, Orange
County; thence Southwesterly along the Northwesterly
line of the said Irv~i~ne Subdivision 261~.00 feet,
more or less, to the Easterly prolongation of the
Northerly-right of way line of Main Street (Fourth
Street), 80 feet in width, as shown on a map of Yorba's
Subdivision, recorded in Book 28, page 10, Miscellaneous
Records of Los Angeles County, California; thence
Westerly along the Northerly right of w.ay of Main Street
(Fourth Street), 80 feet in width, 998.40 feet, more
or less, to the East boundary line of the City of Tustin;
thence Northerly, Westerly, and Northerly along the
boundary line of the City of Tustin to the point of
be ginning."
2. The following named individuals are hereby designated
as 'election officials to hold the office opposite their respective
names;

Inspector
Gene Boyd Ellis
Jydge
Opal Caster Judge
Except as hereinabove set forth the conduct of
said election shall be conducted as a general election, all in
accordance with the laws of the State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Tustin held on April 22, 1957.
