RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUSTIN REQUESTING FURTHER STUDY OF METHODS OF
PROVIDING TRUNK SEWER FACILITIES IN COUNTY
SANITATION DISTRICT NO. 7 OF ORANGE COUNTY.
WHEREAS, the pro]oosal to consolidate County Sanitation
Districts Nos. i. and 7 failed by reason of the lack of a majority
vote in favor of the prooosed consolidation within County Sanitation
District No. 1; and
WHER~AS, an analysis of the votes cast in County
Sanitation District No. 7 shows that the proposed consolidation
received substantial majority votes in all areas of County Sanitation
District No. 7 lyinM Southerly of the Northerly boundary line of
the Tustin Elementary School District; and
WHEREAS, there is great and growing demand for trunk
sewer facilities within that portion of County Sanitation District
No. 7 lying Southerly of the Northerly boundary line of the Tustin
Elementary School District in this district.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Tustin,
does resolve as follows:
Section 1: Resolved that the Board of Directors of
County Sanitation District No. 7 of Orange County be requested to
undertake an immediate study in order to determine what is the most
practical approach to the problem of prov~.~dtng Drunk sewers to
serve that portion of County Sanitation District No. 7 lying
Southerly of the North boundary of the Tustin Elementary School
District.
Section 2:. Further resolved that it is reasonable
to assume that the recent consolidation vote indicates that° a
reasonable program would receive adequate support from the voters
within said portion of County Sanitation District No..7 of Orange.

Resolved that the City Clerk of the City
of Tustin forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the
Board of Directors of County Sanitation District No, 7.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Tustin this 10th day of December, 1956.
