HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 343RESOLUTION NO. 343 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN ACCEPTING AND APPROVING THE IMPROVE- MENT OF PROSPECT AVENUE FROM MAIN STREET TO FIRST STREET, PROJECT NO. 20, AND ORDERING PAYMENT THEREFOR. WHEREAS, the R. J. Noble Company' has completed its contract dated the 9th day of January, 1953, for the improve- merit of Prospect Avenue from Main Street to First Street; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has certified as to the completion thereof and the accuracy of the bill submitted put- . suant to said contract, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council Of the City of TUstin does hereby accept and approve the work done by the R. J. Noble Company for the improvement of Prospect Avenue from Main Street to First Street done in accordance with the terms of a. certain contract bearing the date of January 9, 1953, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL does accept the report and certification of J. L. McBride, City Engineer, submitted in connection with said project, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Treasurer of the City of Tustin be authorized to pay the sum of $4,241.50 .to the R. J. Noble Company forthwith, which is 90% of the con- tract price, and that upon the expiration of thirty-five (35) days from the date of filing of the Notice of Completion, the Treasurer be authorized to pay the balance due on the contract, to wit, $471.27, if ne liens or other encumbrances have been filed against the R. J. Noble Company as contractor. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are authqrized to sign a Notice of Completion showing comple- tion of said work.
