HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 330RESOLUTION NO. 330 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN REQUESTING AND AUTHORIZING THE FED- ERAL BUREAU OF CENSUS TO TAKE A SPECIAL CENSUS OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN AND AGREEING TO PAY THE COSTS THEREOF. WHEREAS, it appears that the population of the City ef Tustin ham substantially increased over that shown on the l~st official census taken by tSe Federal Bureau of Census, and it is believed that the official tabulation of the present poPulation of the City of Tustim will be beneficial to said City; and WHEREAS, the City Council has been informed by letter from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Census, concerning the estimated costs and procedure for taking a special census, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Tus- tin does hereby request the Federal Bureau of Census to take a special census of the City of Tustin at its earliest convenience. Sec ti on 2. That the City Council of the City of Tus- tin does agree to pay the costs thereof, and provide necessary local facilities for the successful completion of the census. Seetion 3. That S. C. Penington is hereby authorized to sign the formal agreement~for the census, and is further au- thorized to draw and forward a warrant made payable to the Treasurer of: the United States in the sum of $343.31, together with a certified copy of this Resolution. Section 4. That S. C. Penington, City Clerk of the City of Tustin, is hereby authorized to arrange for a suitable office space and equipment for the use of census personel, and he is further authorized to assist the individual in charge of taking the census in procuring qualified and mature persons who are able and willing to work as enumerators in said special census and he is further authorized to pay by warrant necessary local expensos a~ such timo as thoy may become, clue.
