A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN DECLARING RESULTS OF THE SPECIAL
MUNICIPAL RECALL ELECTION HELD ON DECEMBER
16, 1952.
WHEREAS, a special municipal election was held and con-
ducted in the City of Tustin, California, on Tuesday, the 16th
day of December, 1952, to determine whether or not the voters
would recall Samuel C. Penington, all pursuant to the laws of
the State of California; and
WHEREAS, it appears that notice of said election was
duly and legally given; that voting precincts were properly es-
tablished; that election officers were appointed and election
supplies furnished; and that in all respects said election was
held and conducted and the votes cast thereat received and can-
vassed, and the returns thereof made and declared, in time, form
and manner as required by the general laws of the State of Cali-
fornia, governing special recall elections, in cities of the
sixth class; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tustin met
at the City Council Chamber in the City of Tustin on Monday,
the 22nd day of December, 1952, to canvass the returns of said
election, as a result of which the said City Council finds the
number of votes cast, the names of the person voted for, and
other 'matters required by law, to be as hereinafter stated;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
That said special municipal recall election was held
and conducted in the City of Tustin, California, on Tuesday,
the 16th day of December, 1952, in the time, form and manner
required by law;
That there was one consolidated voting precinct es-
tablished for the purpose of holding said election consisting
of Tustin No. 1 and Tustin No. 2, being the regular election
precincts in said City established for holding State and
County elections. That said consolidated precinct was desig-
hated as Precinct "A".
That the whole number of votes cast in said elec-
tion was 212.

That the questions, voted on, the number of votes
given in each precinct thereon, together with the whole hum-
bet of votes for each question voted on in the entire special
election was as follows:

That a majority of the votes cast did not favor the
recall of Samuel C. Penington as City Clerk.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED' that City Clerk Samuel C.
.Penington was not recalled at the special municipal election
in the City of Tustin, California, on the 16th day of December,
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Tustin at a regular adjourned meeting held on the 22nd day
of December, 1952.
