HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 312RESOLUTION NO. 312 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF ORANGE TO SET AND ESTABLISH CERTAIN CURB LINES ON FIRST STREET EAST OF PROSPECT AVENUE AND WEST OF NEWPORT AVENUE. WHEREAS, First Street is a street of major importance and is a part of an East and West thoroughfare in the County of Orange, being the most direct route between the E1 Toro, Lemon Heights and Irvine areas and the City of Santa Ana and the City of Huntington Beach; and WHEREAS, said street is heavily trafficked and due to present growth and development of the areas served East of the City of Tustin the use of said street is likely to continue and increase at a rapid rate; and WHEREAS, the welfare of the residents of the County of Orange, and particularly those in the vicinity East of the City of Tustin, and the residents of the City of Tustin will be bene- fited, and further that good planning for future' development of the City and the areas surrounding it requires the establishment of adequate curb lines on said street; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Tustin that the Supervisors of the County of Orange are requested to set and establish the curb lines on First Street, between Prospect Avenue on the West and Newport Avenue on the East at not less than twenty-eight feet (28') from the center line of First Street. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said action will cortes- pond with action taken by the City Council of the City of Tustin in establishing a curb line of not less than twenty-eight feet (28') from the center line of .said First Street for that portion of First Street lying within the City of Tustin. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Tustin at a regular meeting this 7th day of July, 1952. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly passed by the City Council of the City of Tustin at a regular meeting thereof held July 7, 1952, by the follow- ing vote: AYES: Councilmen Miller, Teter, Gray.
