HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 00-07 RESOLUTION NO. 00-7 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA REQUESTING THE ORANGE COUNTY ~ TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY TO RELEASE A PORTION OF THE _, COMBINED TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM FUNDS FOR THE JAMBOREE ROAD/EDINGER AVENUE INTERCHANGE AS A PART 5 OF THE MOULTON PARKWAY SMART STREET PROJECT (PROJECT NO. 7154) 7 WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority approved a Combined Transportation Funding Prog ram (CTFP) for fiscal year 1999-00; and WHEREAS, the program includes $11,585,000 for fiscal years 97-98 through 99- - 00 and for the Jamboree Road/EdingerAvenue Interchange as a part of the Moulton i 0~ Parkway Smart Street Project; and !! WHEREAS, the City of Tustin has adopted a General Plan Circulation Element which does not preclude implementation of the M PAH within its jurisdiction; and i2. WHEREAS, the City of Tustin has expended $11,000,000 in reimbursing the Transportation Corridor Agencies for construction of the Jamboree Road/Edinger !-! Avenue Interchange on behalf of the Cities of Tustin and Irvine. i5 ' NOW, THEREF. ORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Tustin, hereby requests the Orange County Transportation Authority release $1,259,394 of CTFP funds from !6 the Smart Street Program for construction of said project to the City. This request is in !7 conformance with the CTFP allocation process and does not exceed ninety (90) percent of the programmed amount or ninety (90) percent of the construction contract. 18 AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the remaining ten (10) percent in CTFP i ~ funds will be transferred to the City of Tustin when construction is completed and a or Final Report on the project is accepted by the Orange Cbunty Transportation Authority. , The City of Tustin agrees to submit the Final Report to the Orange County 2:, Transportation Authority within one hundred twenty (120) days after acceptance of the improvement. o~ PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of " Tustin held on the 22nd day of February 2000.
