HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 286 RESOLUTION NO. 286 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN ACCEPTING BID FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF "C" STREET, IN ACCORDANCE WITH PROJECT NO. 16, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THE LOWEST BIDDER ' WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tusttn duly published a notice inviting sealed proposals for im- provement of "C" Street, between Main Street and First Street in the City of Tustin, in accordance with Project 16, and WHEREAS, sealed bids were received pursuant to said notice, and WHEREAS, the bids were opened and examined b~ the City Council at ?:30 o'clock P. M. on the 16th day of April, 1951, and WHEREAS, Sully-Miller Co., submitted the lowest bid and submitted a bond in sufficient amount, and sufficient as to form; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Tustin accept the .bid of Sully-Miller Co. for the improvement of "C" Street, between Main Street and First Street, in the City of Tusttn, in accordance with the plans and specifications of Project 16, a copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Tusttn. BE IT FURTHER 'RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to sign a contract accepting the proposal of Sully-Miller Co. at the unit prices proposed by Sully-Miller Co., which are as follows: Item 1. II 2. $0.20 per unit 0.10 per unit 1.50 per unit 30.00 per unit 3.60 per unit BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the signing of 'the con- t~'acts shall be subJeot to the Sully-Nille~ Co. posting bonds as ~equired in the p~oposal, which bonds must fl~st be approved by the City Attorney as to sufficiency. ~ PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of-~.the City Council of the City of Tustin on the 16th day of April, 1951.
