HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 282RESOLUTION NO. 282 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN REQUESTING ALLOCATION OF STATE FUNDS FOR PLANS AND SPECI- FICATIONS OF SEWER PROGRAM WHEREAS, The State of California under Chapter Statutes of 19~ (~th 'Extra Session), has appropriated funds fo~ allotment, by the Director of Finance. to provide financial assist- ance to ~ocal Agencies defined 'therein as counties, cities o~ cities and counties for the purpose of defraying not to exceed one-half the cest of preparing engineering, field surveys, en- gineering o~ architectural designs, and'working and detailed drawings and specifications (hereinafter called "Plans") re- qui~ed for postwar public works projects described as "specific pre.Jects" in said Act; and WEEREAS, the City of Tmstin, hereinafter designated as "Local Agency", ~esires to &pply to the Dii. ecgo~, of Finance ~d/ o~ the State Allocation Board, as the case may be, for an allot- sent of the State' s share of the estimated cost of preparing the · Completed plans he~einafte~ mentioned and there has been p~epared and p~esented to this legislative body for consideration an appli- cation for such purpose; and WHEREAS, Locan Agency has provided, or will make 'avail- able upon approval of the aforementioned application, sufficient funds to p~epare the cOmPleted plans herein mentioned; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Local Agency sub- mit the af'o~esaid application t'o the Director of Finance and/O~ the ~tate Allocation Board, as the case may be, requesting al- lotment of $ being not more than one-half the cost of prepa~ing said completed plans, o~ fo~ such amount as may be ap- proved by the Director of Finance..and/om the State Allocation Board (said allotment to be used fo~ the purpose of defraying the co'st of preparing Said'completed plame required), for a specific project to be undertaken by Local Agency and described as City of Tustin Sewage Disposal Plan; and BE IT' FURTHER RE~0L~, that the estimated cost of prepa~ing such plans is $~,000.00 and that local agency has made provision fo~ paying one-half or mo~e of the cost of p~eparing 150 such plans; and BE IT FURTHER .RESOLVED, that for the purpose of t;hi s application S. C. PENINGTON, City Clerk, City Hall, Tustin, California, be and he hereby is designated as the authorized agent of local agency and is hereby authorized and directed to sign the above mentioned application on behalf of the local agency and subm~-t the same to the Director of Finance and/or the State Allooation Bo~ gogethe~ with a certified, statement of the estimated cost of prepa~ing such 'plaus and 'such Othe~ information as may be required; and said authorized agent is further authorized and directed as the representative of local agency to conduct all negotiations and conclude all a~range- ments, including submission to the Director' of Finance of ap- plications for reimbursement, which may be'necessary to secure , ~eimbursement for the State' $ share, of the expenditures made in preparing said completed plans.
