HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 262RESOLUTION N0. 262 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF ORANGE TO GRANT AN EXTENSION OF TIME FOR THE REALLOCATION AND USE OF CER- TAIN FUNDS UNEXPENDED BY THE CITY OF TUSTIN HERETOFORE GRANTED TO THE USE OF SAID CITY BY SAID COUNTY WHER~S, the City Council of the..City of Tustin in the County cf Orange, State of California, on May 16, 1949, adopted · Resolution No. 2'23 requesting the County of Orange to grant aid to said City in the amount of $1,335.00 out of the County,s ap- portionment of the California Highway User, s Tax Fund for the is- provement and repair of Main Street in said City, as pe~ detailed plans and specifications stated in said Resolution; and WHEREAS', said County thereafter on May 24, 1949, found ,. ~ said improvement and ~epai~ to be of general County interest and granted said request; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tustin Has by Resolution No. 223 and Resolution No. 261 accepted said work as comPleted, and by said ResOlution accounted to the Board of Super- visors of the County of Orange in accordance with the terms of the aforesaid grant; and WHEREAS, the cost of said project for 'the improvement of Main Street was less than anticipated and that there are now certain fund~ allocated to the City of Tusttn, but not yet u~ed, in the sum of $219.30; and WHEREAS, the City of Tustin desires an extension of time for the proper application and reallocation of these funds for use of the improvement of City streets which are of general County interest; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Tus tin does hereby apply to and ~equest the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange to grant an extension of time for a period of one yea~ for the application and use in the sum of $219.30, which sum was unexpended from the grant heretofore made by the County of Orange to the City of Tustin on May 24, 19~9. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City'Clerk of the City of Tustin is hereby directed to forward three (3) certified 116 copies of this Resolution to .the Board of Supervisors of Orange County.
