RESOLUTION NO. 256
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TUSTIN DECLARING RESULTS OF THE
GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON APRIL
11 1950.
WHEREAS,
a General Municipal Election was held and
conducted in the City of Tustin, California, on Tuesday, the
llth day of April, 1950, as required by law; and
WHEREAS, it appears that notice of said election was
duly and legally given; that voting precincts were properly
established; that election officers were appointed and election
supplies furnished; and that in all respects said election was
held and conducted and the votes cast thereat received and can-
vassed, and the returns thereof made and declared, in time, form
and manner as required by the general laws of the State of Calif-.
ornia, governing elections in cities of the sixth class; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the said City of Tustin
met at the City Council Chamber in the City of Tustin on Tuesday,
the 18th day of April, 1950, to canvass .the returns of said elec-
tion and install the newly elected officers, as a result of
which the said City Council finds the number of votes cast, the
names of the person voted for, and other matters required by law,
to be as hereinafter stated;
NOW,.~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
That said General Municipal Election was held and con-
ductedin the City of Tustin, California, on Tuesday, the llth
day of April, 1950, in the time, form and manner as required by
law;
That there was one voting precinct established for the
purpose of holding said election, consisting of a consolidation
of the regular .election precincts established for holding general
State and County elections as follows:
Precinct "A", comprising State and County Precincts
Numbers Tustin City No. 1 and Tustin City No. 2;
That the whole number of votes cast in said election
was One Hundred and' Thirty-three (133);
That the names of the persons voted for, the offices
for which they were voted, the number of votes given in each pre-
cinct to each person, together~ with the whole number of votes
which they received in the entire City Election are as follows:

· ' That Vincent L. Humeston and J. Roy Teter. received the
highest votes, respectively, for the two poA2tions to be filled
on the City Council for the full term of four (4) years, and that
they should be and they are hereby declared elected to the City
Council of the City of Tustin for the full term.of four (4) years.
That the measure voted upon was "Shall the City Council
hereafter appoint the T~easure~ of the City of Tusttn?"; that
the~e were seventy-fou~ ('74) votes cast for said measure and
forty-five (45) votes cast against the measure.
That the measure received an affirmative vote and it.
is hereby'declared that hereafter 'the T~easu~er of the City of

Tustin shall be appointed by the City Council of the City of

Tustin. ,
· BE'IT FURTHER'RESOLVED, that at said general munici-
pal election Vincent L. Humeston was elected to the office of
City Councilman of ~he City of Tustin for the full term of four
(4) ears;
ALSO, the measure voted upon at said election was
passed and hereafter the City Council of' the City of Tustin
shall appoint the Treasurer' of the City of Tustin.
BE 'IT FIIRTHER' RESOLVED, that at said general munici-
pal election J. Roy Teter was elected to the office of City
Councilman of the City of Tus'tin for the full term of four
(4) ea s.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Tustin, California, at a regula~ adjourned meeting thereof
held on the 18th day of April, 1950.

the Treasurer of the City of Tustin.
BE IT FURTI~R R:~SOLVED, that at said general municipal
election J. Roy Teter was elected to the office of City
Councilman of the City of Tustin for the full term of four (4)
years.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Tustin, California, at a regularly adjourned meeting thereof held
on the 18th day oP April, 1950.
