HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 247 RESOLUTION NO. 247 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, AUTHORIZING CHANGE ORDERS IN THAT CERTAIN AGREEMENT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF CITY HALL BETWEEN THE CITY OF TUSTIN AND SHERMAN E. SALTER, CON~ TRACTOR AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF CHANGES MADE OVER ORIGINAL CONTRACT PRICE BY REASON OF CHANGE ORDERS. '~'HEREAS, Sherman E. Salter has constructed a certain work commonly referred to as a City Hall for the City of Tustin ~nder the terms of an Agreement for Construction of City Hall, dated October 19, 1949; and WHEREAS, it was deemed necessary that certain change orders be effected in the plans and specifications of the aforesaid work: NOW, TftEREFORE, BE IT ~OLYED that change orders numbered $0 through 5~ are hereby authorized and approved, which change orders are to be made effective by supplemental agreement 'between the City of Tustin and Sherman E. Salter, Contractor. Mayor Vincent L. Humeston be and he is hereby authorized to execute said agreement on. behalf of the City of Tustin. Said chsage orders specified by Architect Roland L. Russell are attached hereto and marked Schedule "A" and made a part hereof. BE IT FURTHER RESOLYED that Change Order No. 9 be can- celled and that the sum of $90.00 be added to the contract price, which was heretofore deducted from the contract price by Change Order No. 9; that the City shall be given credit in the sum of $~$.00 by reason of the change heretofore effected whereby the ceiling of the Council Room was not painted. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Treasurer of the. City of Tustin is authorized to pa~ to Sherman E. Salter the cost of the extra items by reason of the change orders heretofore effected, said sum being $987.~4. -1- 88 PASSED ~D ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Tustin at a' regular meeting held thereon on the 20th day of February, 1950. Install standard asphalt tile, 1/8" thick, over all concrete floors withim the new addition and existing building, excluding the Engine House, Drying Tower, Fireman's Quarters and Kitohen, as per Alternate No. 4 of the Instructions t~ Bidders. Ail such tile shall be a single color,. Xentile Sarrancolin (B-254). The charge for this item shall be $~71.~$. $2. Install new tile cap on edge of existing sink in Kitchen. Re-cement Joints of all existing tile on drainboard and splash. Remove soap dish and tile over opening. There shall be an extra charge for this item of $$5.00. SS. Install standard asphalt tile 1/8" thick, over all concrete floors within the Fireman's Quarters and Kitchen, and a 4" black asphalt tile base at all walls. Ail floor tile shall be a single color, Xentile Sarrancolin (B-254). There shall be an extra charge for this item of $105.00. $4. Install 2" brass thresholds at the entrance doors to the Reception Room and Library, as well as at the read exterior door to the Cca~acil Chamber and the Corridor door on the east side of the building.
