HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 242RESOLUTION NO. 242 RESO~LUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN ADJUSTING ADMINISTRATIVE OVERHEAD, APPOINTING 'NEW CITY JUDGE, INCREASING THE SALARY OF THE DEPUTY TAX COLLECTOR, AND FIXING NEW PLACE OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL The City Council of the City of Tus. tin does resolve as follows: WHEREAS, the city administrative offices are to be moved into the new City Hall located at 145 West Third Street, Tustin, California; and WHEREAS, it is desired to effect certain economies in the city administration: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: 1. That CHAS. E. MORRIS be ~elieved of his duties of City Judge as of February 1, 1950, for the purpose of giving him more time for his duties as City Clerk, and that on February 1, 1950, R. P. AALEN, Justice of the Peace of Tustin Township, be and he hereby is appointed City Judge to hold office at the pleasure of the City Council; that there shall be no change in the rate of pay for said office. 2'. That SAMUEL C. PENNINGTON' be relieved of his Job as Deputy City Clerk as' of February 1, 1950, and that as severance pay he shall receive the sum of $100.00 on February 15, 1950; that this Job is being vacated for the sole purpose of effecting a reduction in the administrative expenses of the City of Tustin. 3. The salary of the Deputy Tax Collector be in- creased to the sum of'" $75.00 per month. 4. That beginning with the first Monday in Febru- ary, 1950, the City Council shall meet for their regular meet- ings in the new quarters of the City Hall, to-wit, Council Chamber, Room 4, 145 West Third Street, Tustin, California, or . . at any place within the City of Tustin they shall approve by motion duly made at any duly authori.zed adjourned regular or special meeting; that' the time for the regular meetings of the City Council shall remain unchanged, to-wit, 7:30 o'clock P.
