A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TUSTIN ACCEPTING THE BID OF
SHERMAN E. SALTER AS THE LOW BID FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF ALTERATIONS AND ADDITION
FOR TUSTIN CITY HALL, TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA,
DATED SEPTEMBER 12, 1949.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tustin adver-
tised for bids on the construction of alterations and addition for
Tustin City Hall in The Tusttn News, a newspaper of general ctrcu-
lation, printed and published in the City of Tustin, on the dates
of September 16, 1949 and Septembe~ 23, 1949; and
WHEREAS, bids were received in answer to the aforesaid
advertising, and the bids were opened on the 5th day of' October,
19~9, at the hour of ?:~0 P. M. o'clock; and
~HEREAS, the lowest bid received for the aforesaid
work was in the sum of $19,628.57 by Sherman E. Salter, General
contractor:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Tustin does accept the bid of Sherman E. Salter
in the amount of $19,628.57 for the construction of alterations
and addition for Tustin City Hall, dated Spptember 12, 19~9,
made in accordance with the drawings, instructions to bidders
and the general conditions of the specifications, all contained
in the form of proposal submitted by Sherman E. Salter, and does
hereby authorize the Mayor of the City of Tustin, Vincent L.
Humeston, to enter into a contract for the construction of altera-
tions and addition for Tustin City Hall, embodying the bid terms
submit ted therefor.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Tustin at a regular meeting held on the 17th day of October, 1949.

20 and addition for Tustin City Hall, dated September 12, 1949, made
21 in accordance with the drawings, instructions to bidders and the
22 general conditions of the specifications, all contained in the
23 form of proposal submitted by Sherman E. Salter, a.nd does hereby
24 authorize the Mayor of the City of Tustin, Vincent L. Humeston,
25 to enter into a contract for the construction of alterations and
26 addition for Tustin City Hall, embodying the bid terms submitted
27 therefor.
