HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 205RESOLUTION NO. 205 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, DESIGNATING STREETS TO BE ADDED TO THE SYSTEM OF MAJOR CITY STREETS OTHER THAN STATE HIGHWAYS WITHIN THE CITY OF TUSTIN, AND REQUESTING APPROVAL THEREOF BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS, DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ALLOCATION THERETO, AND EXPENDITURE THEREON OF THE NET PROCEEDS OF PER GALLON TAX ON MOTOR VEHICLE FUEL, PURSUANT TO SECTIONS 194 AND 195 OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. WHEREAS, under the ~'~'rn~s an6 pr6visions of Sections 19~ and 195 of the Streets and Hi~hways Code of the SZa~e of California, it is incumbent upon the City Council of the City of Tustin to determine, select and designate a system of major streets, other than state highways, subject to the aoDroval of the Department of Public '~Morks, Division of Highways, S~a~e of California, for the purpose of allocation thereto and expenditure thereon of the per gallon tax on motor vehicle fule to be paid to the City of Tu~tin, for use upon major city ~treet~, other than state highways, within the City of Tuatin, under provisions of said Sections 195 and 195 of the Streets and Highways Code of California. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEE that the City Council of the City of'Tustin does hereby determine, select and designate a~ major city streets to be added to the system of major city streets of the City of Tustin, subject to the approval, which approval is hereby requested, of the Department of Public %¥orks, Division of Highways, of the State of California, upon which may be used.part of the net proceeds of per gallon gas tax on motor vehicle fuel to be paid to the City of Tustin, under the provisions of Section 194 and 19~ of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, the following designated streets, as shown upon the official street map of the City of Tustin, adopted February 17, 19~-6, to-wit: Second Street, from the East line of Pacific Street, to the West line of B ~treet;: and Second Street, from the East line of C street to the West line of D Street (also known as State Highway Route 2) being sixty-six wide and 0.25 miles in length. Thi.rd Street, from the cente~ line of ~yrtle Street, to the We~t line of D Street (also known as State Highway Route 2) being 66 feet wide and 0.37 miles in length. C Street, from the South line of First Street (also known as State Highway Route 2)~to the center line of Sixth Street, being 66 feet wide and 0.393 miles in length. This Resolution shall take effect immediatley upon passage and a..oproval. PASSED AND ADOPTED, this 3rd day of May, 1948.
