HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 203RESOLUTION NO. 203 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA DECLARING RESULTS OF ELECTION WHEREAS, a general municipal election was held and conducted in the City of Tustin, California, on Tuesday, the, 13th day of April, 19~8, a~ required by law;. and .~ '~I-IEREA$, it appea~s that notice of ~aid election wa~ duly and legally given; that voting precincts were properly established; that election officers were appointed and election supplies furnished; and that in all respects said election was held and conducted and the votes cast thereat received and can- vassed, and the returns thereof made and declared, in time, form and manner as reqmired by the general laws of the S,t..ate of , California, governing elections _tn citie~ of the sixth cla~; and '¢~EREA$, the City Co~tnoil of said City of Tustin met at the City Council Chamber in the City of Tustin on Tuesday, the 20th day of April, 191~g, to canvass the returns of said election and install the newly elected officers, as a result of which tho said names of the persons voted for, and other matter~ required by law, to be as hereinafter stated; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED as follows: That said general municipal election was held and conducted in the City of Tustin, California, on Tuesday, the 13th day of April, 19~g, in the t~me, form and manner a~ required by law; That there wa~ one voting precinct e~tablt~hed for the purpose of holding said election, consisting of a consolidation of the regular election prectnct~ established for holding general State and County election~ a~ follow~: Tustin Precinct, comprising State and County Precincts Number~ Tustin City N°. 1 and Tustin City No. 2; That the whole number of votes caet in said election was 116. That David M. Forney, '~'llliam I. Miller, and Frank E. Bacon, Jr. received the highest votes, respectively, for the three positions to be filled on the City Council for the full term of four ($) years, and that they should be and they-.are hereby declared elected to the City Council of the City of Tustin for the full term of four ($) years. That Chas. E. Morris received the highest number of votes cs:st for the office of City Clerk for the full term of four ($) years. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, therefore, that at said general municipal election David M. Forney was elected to the office of City Council of the City of Tustin for .the full term of four ($) years; ALSO, that William I. Miller was elected to the office of .City Councilman of the ~ity of Tustin for the full term. of four ($) years; ALSO, that Frank E. Bacon, Jr., was elected to the office of City Councilman of the City of Tustin for the full term of four ($) years; ALSO, that chas. E. Morris was elected to the office of City Clerk of the City of Tustin for the full term of four ($) years. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Tustin, California, at a regularly adjourned meeting thereof held on the 2Oth day of April, 1948. City lerk of th~ i~y of Tustin, 'Cai'i~rnia f~ 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 RESOLUTION N0. ~,~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING RESULTS OF ELECTION WHEREAS, a general municipal election was held and conducted in the City of Tustin, California, on Tuesday, the 13th day of April, 1948, as required by law; and WHEREAS, it appears that notice of said election was duly and legally given; that voting precincts were properly established; that election officers were appointed and election supplies furnished; and that in all respects said election was held and conducted and the votes cast thereat received and can- vassed, and the returns thereof made and declared, in time, form and manner as required by the general laws of the State of California, governing elections in cities of the sixth class; and WHEREAS, the City Council of said City of Tustin met at the City Council Chamber in the City of Tustin on Tuesday, the 20th day of April, 1948, to canvass the returns of said election and install the newly elected officers, as a result of which the said City Council finds the number of votes cast, the names of the persons voted for, and other matters required by law, to be as hereinafter stated; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED as follows: That said general municipal election was held and conducted in the City of Tustin, California, on Tuesday, the 13th day of April, 1948, in the time, form and manner as required by law; That there was one voting precinct established for the purpose of holding said election, consisting of a consolidation of the regular election precincts established for holding general State and County elections as follows: 1. 1 2 3 4 6 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 26 26 27 28 I 29 30 31 32 Tustin Precinct, comprising State and County Precincts Numbers Tustin City No. 1 and Tustin City No. 2; ' That the whole number of votes cast in said election was /~ That the names of the persons voted for, the offices for which they were voted, the number of votes given in each precinct to each person, together with the whole number of votes which they received in the entire City Election are as follows: Names of Absent Persons Voted Off ice Tustin Voters Total For Voted For Precinct Ballot Vote COUNCILMAN - FULL TERM Frank E.
